Buffalo_Stampede Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Has any RB not looked good in this system? 1 Quote

Turbo44 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 RBs don’t get that much, Barkley only got $8m. 3 guys that need to be resigned are cool, Hollins and tai and all will be available. We have 3 picks in the first 62 this year / grab a wr (and don’t pass on a McConkey this time) and a DE and a Cb and resign those three Quote

I think Josh Allen would disagree as well. Remember he’s had Singletary, Moss, Yeldon, Gore Sr, Ivory, McCoy amongst other castoffs to tote the rock. I suspect he wants Cook to be here long-term. 2 Quote
DapperCam Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I like Cook a lot and think he’s talented, but I’m still hesitant to pay a RB. I’m reminded of DeMarco Murray crushing it with the Cowboys, winning OPOY. The Cowboys didn’t pay him and let him walk the season after he won the rushing title and it was the right decision. That’s because his big year was more about the offensive line, and we also have a great offensive line. Quote

No way are they rushing like this with any of the other RBs. Cook is extremely valuable. 1 Quote

McMuffin Posted January 13 Posted January 13 A lot of us have been wanting an Alvin Kamara type RB and we finally have one. Pay that man! 2 3 Quote

Yeah you can't look at our WR separation numbers and think that's okay, Josh is a freak, I'd love to see this iteration of Allen with guys getting some more space. GASabresIUFan Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I honestly can’t believe the Cook haters have resurfaced after this week’s playoff game. Friggin hilarious. First things first. He has one more year on his rookie deal. That means he isn’t going anywhere. Given our cap situation Beane may not extend him this coming off-season. Cook continues to prove the haters wrong. He is the top dawg in the backfield and Brady and Allen trust him in key situations. Have the haters learned nothing? They said he fumbles too much. Wrong! They said he can’t run between the tackles. Wrong! They said he doesn’t score touchdowns. Wrong! They said he is easily replaced. Wrong! He is lightning fast. Breaks tackles, is a huge weapon out of the backfield and is a threat to go to house with every touch. Good luck replacing him. Oh by the way Cook is only 6 months older than Davis and had less than half his college workload. There is considerable tread left on this tire. 1 1 Quote
VW82 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 I think we offer him a two year guarantee at franchise rates and if he doesn't take that then we wait and franchise him or cut/trade him if he pouts. Cook is a really good RB. It isn't just because we have a good line. Quote

He let them improve from 13-4 last season to 12-5 this season. Hey wait… Quote

Turbo44 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Cook is very valuable until he loses his speed. He logged very few snaps at GA and very few snaps with BUF. An extension for him is a no brainer. Prob 3 years 1 Quote

I'm not a cook hater, I'm a hater of terrible ideas like giving RBs second contracts Quote
DrDawkinstein Posted January 13 Posted January 13 3/$24M, if we're lucky A far cry from the $3M/yr I was talking at the beginning of the thread. But he's proven he's a big time playmaker and valuable to Josh. I think his best days are still ahead of him too. He's getting stronger while not losing any speed. He's 25 now, under contract next year. A 3 year extension would keep him through his prime. Quote

colin Posted January 13 Posted January 13 i think 10 a year should work for both sides. we have a poor wr group, they just don't get open very well, have to really be schemed and planned for. ol is sick, rb group is near the best, im most disappointed in our TE production tbh. i thought kinkaid could threaten 1k yards. he was hurt but has hit a sophomore slump. last thing i want is to lose our best and most consistent offensive playmaker not named josh allen.
