BillsFanForever19 Posted May 9 Posted May 9 (edited) Here's a look at how the roster is shaping out, by position as we head towards Training Camp. Travis Clayton being an International Pathway Player gets a roster exemption, allowing us to carry 91 instead of 90: QB: Josh Allen #17 Mitch Trubisky #11 Shane Buechele #6 RB: James Cook #4 Ray Davis #22 Ty Johnson #26 Darrynton Evans #37 Frank Gore Jr. #20 - Reggie Gilliam #41 WR: Keon Coleman #0 Curtis Samuel #1 Marquez Valdes-Scantling Khalil Shakir #10 Mack Hollins #13 Justin Shorter #18 Chase Claypool #14 K.J. Boatdrinks Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Looks like a 9 maybe 10 win roster - mostly due to Josh Allen. 2 Quote
billsfan89 Posted May 9 Posted May 9 The Bills have a really deep LB core. That's 7 players with decent value, not an automatic cut on the roster, easy that they carry 6. Matt Milano #58 - One year removed from being an All-Pro, about to be 30 which is still an age where LB's perform well. Terrel Bernard #43- Locked down the other starting LB spot last season just 25 years old this season very good. Dorian Williams #42- Third round pick from the 2023 draft, flashed decently his rookie year certainly he looks to be quality depth. Edefuan Ulofoshio #48- 5th round pick this past draft solid special teams player who can grown into a starting spot down the line. Baylon Spector #54 - A late round pick who flashed decent play when thrust into a starting role due to massive injuries. Deion Jones #45- A 30 year old vet with 91 starts under his belt, some good years in ATL been bouncing around the past coupe years but a good "kick the tires" vet. Nicholas Morrow #52- 28 year old vet with 58 starts under his belt, not the flashiest player but has shown to be a quality backup. I think carrying 6 makes sense, Spector, Jones and Morrow are on the bubble but 2 out of 3 will make the roster. 2 2 Quote

LB looks like the strongest unit on the team and it seems they're not going to allow injuries at this position to change the course of this season as it did last season. 3 Quote

I think they may have realized that these smaller LB's may be injury prone. So having 7 deep at that position with a mix of youth (Bernard, Williams, Ulo and Spector) and vets (Milano, Jones and Morrow) going into camp is a good place to be in, they may even tack on an 8th camp body to keep these guys fresh. 1 Quote

Beane has said very recently that with current summer practice rules, there aren't enough snaps to go around for 4 QBs. FWIW And tbh, looking at this roster, I very easily compiled a 53 without really any sacrifices: Josh Allen #17 Mitch Trubisky #11 James Cook #4 Ray Davis #22 Ty Johnson #26 Reggie Gilliam #41 Keon Coleman #0 Curtis Samuel #1 Khalil Shakir #10 Mack Hollins #13 Justin Shorter #18 + 1 more (isabella and hamler seem like candidates) Dalton Kincaid #86 Dawson Knox #88 Quintin Morris #85 Dion Dawkins #73 David Edwards #76 Connor McGovern #66 O'Cyrus Torrence #64 Spencer Brown #79 - La'el Collins #71 Sedrick Van Pran-Granger #62 Ryan Van Demark #74 Alec Anderson #70 Von Miller #40 Greg Rousseau #50 AJ Epenesa #57 Javon Solomon #56 Casey Toohill #95 or Kingsley Jonathan #59 Ed Oliver #91 Daquan Jones #92 DeWayne Carter #90 Austin Johnson #98 DeShawn Williams #99 Matt Milano #58 Terrel Bernard #43 Dorian Williams #42 Edefuan Ulofoshio #48 Baylon Spector #54 Deion Jones #45 or Nicholas Morrow #52 Rasul Douglas #31 Christian Benford #47 Taron Johnson #7 Kaiir Elam #5 Daequan Hardy #25 Ja'Marcus Ingram #46 Cole Bishop #24 Mike Edwards #21 Taylor Rapp #9 Cam Lewis #33 Tyler Bass #2 Sam Martin #8 or Matt Haack #15 Reid Ferguson #69 7 3 3 Quote
