boyst
Out of curiousity I looked up all of the comp picks in the 2024 draft. 3rd Round 96. Jaguars: Jarrian Jones, CB, Florida State 97. Chiefs (via Buf): Jaden Hicks, S, Washington State 134. Jets (via Bal): Braelon Allen, RB, Wisconsin 135. 49ers: Jacob Cowing, WR, Arizona 5th round 168. Bills (via NO, GB) : Javon Solomon, EDGE, Troy 169. Packers: Kitan Oladapo, S, Oregon State 170. Saints: Bub Means, WR, Pittsburgh 171. Jets (via Phi): Jordan Travis, QB, Florida State 172. Eagles: Trevor Keegan, OG, Michigan 173. Jets (via KF via SF): Isaiah Davis, RB, South Dakota State 174. Cowboys: Caelen Carson, CB, Wake Forest 175. Saints: Jaylan Ford, LB, Texas 176. Jets (via SF): Qwan'tez Stiggers, CB, Toronto Argonauts 6th Round 209. Rams: Joshua Karty, PK, Stanford 210. Lions (via Phi): Christian Mahogany, OG, Boston College 211. Chiefs (via SF): Kamal Hadden, CB, Tennessee 212. Jaguars: Cam Little, PK, Arkansas 213. Rams: Jordan Whittington, WR, Texas 214. Bengals: Cedric Johnson, EDGE, Ole Miss 215. 49ers: Jarrett Kingston, OG, USC 216. Cowboys: Ryan Flournoy, WR, SE Missouri State 217. Rams: Beaux Limmer, C, Arkansas 218. Ravens (via NYJ: Devin Leary, QB, Kentucky 219. Bills (via GB): Daequan Hardy, CB, Penn State 220. Buccaneers: Elijah Klein, OG, UTEP 7th Round 253. Chargers: Cornelius Johnson, WR, Michigan 254. Rams: KT Leveston, OG, Penn State 255. Packers: Kalen King, CB, Penn State 256. Broncos (via NYJ): Nick Gargiulo, C, South Carolina 257. Jets: Jaylen Key, S, Alabama By my math that is 38 Comp picks and 13 of them traded; 1/3 of comp picks were traded. It will be interesting to see who, if any, of these players have a successful career.
buffaloboyinATL
Interesting. Thanks for doing all that research Boyst. That’s a lot of comp picks.
Saint Doug
If there’s this many comp picks being given and to this many teams, they should just get rid of them. Seems like it would be a wash.

Saint Doug
Just now, boyst said: 16 teams, half of the league got a comp pick. LAR & SF both got 5 picks. I get the minority hiring comp picks or if a team truly wants a player back, but it seems weird that if a team actively lets a player go, why should they get a comp pick. Edmunds for example, it really doesn’t seem like we had any intention of re-signing him. Then we have a SB team getting the most comp picks, so we can’t say they are given out for parity. frostbitmic
Somehow you just know that pick 133 will be a future HOFer.
