nucci Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Beane does this on purpose so most of you will continue to have something to complain about. 1 1 Quote
buffblue Posted April 28 Posted April 28 This feels like 2017 all over again, having to rely on guys like Jordan Matthews and Andre Holmes. At least then we knew we couldn't go anywhere with Tyrod at QB. This seems like such a sad, wasteful approach. 1 Quote
Roundybout Posted April 28 Posted April 28 If Coleman pans out to his potential none of this will matter. So, there’s that. 2 Quote
DapperCam Posted April 28 Posted April 28 31 minutes ago, SCBills said: So this has to tell us that the Bills viewed Cephus as a better low cost investment than a Day 3 WR? Beane clearly had this in the works yesterday and mentioned it in his press conference. I just don’t get it. After Coleman, Samuel & Shakir, we have JAG’s battling it out for 4-6. Literally every team has JAGs battling it out for 4-6. 2 Quote
Gigs Posted April 28 Posted April 28 57 minutes ago, DJB said: This fixes everything edit no it doesn't Cephus ran a 4.73 so he’s slower than Coleman . For F sakes Oh yeah I'd rather have only sub 4.3 receivers because Miami has been kicking our ass with speed. Oops, wait, they beat us 2 times since JA came into the league (on a dropped TD and a receiver forgetting to step out to set up the game winning FG) and not with any of the current speedsters they have. Have we ever lost a game and immediately someone points out it's because our receivers run .1 - .4 seconds slower in shorts over an uncontested 40 yard sprint? Mentality plays a way bigger role in wins and losses than how many half steps Xavier Worthy has over Keon Coleman. You need to get over it, dude. 1 Quote

I’m not too worried until it becomes worrisome. People are too worked up over the WR position. I have seen teams with terrible WR corps hoist up Lombardi’s in my 6 billion years on earth. Brady’s first SB comes to mind when he had garbage weaponry to work with, for example. 2 Quote

A lot of other teams have guys with recent draft hope as their WR4. Edited April 28 by SCBills Quote

I do like the 96.5PFF Grade in college on passes over 20 yards in 2019, but that was 5 years ago in NFL, 2 years of IR and a year on bench for the gambling (though I did read he was working hard on his craft (unsure if that is gambling or playing WR) during the suspension. 1 Quote

davefan66 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Not a guy I saw us signing. Especially with the gambling suspension. Had a decent 1st two seasons, averaging just over 15 yards per catch. Caught 20 and 15 balls. Camp body? I’d expect Beane to make more moves if he feels it’s warranted. And if we have cap space. Quote

HappyDays Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Oh my God. It's really going to happen. Mack Hollins is going to be our primary #2 outside WR. That is actually the plan. 1 1 2 1 Quote
MAJBobby Posted April 28 Author Posted April 28 There is going to be a fun battle to see who emerges. There are 3 locks max with Coleman, Shakir and Samuel. I think from there on out it is a battel for the rest, that group consists of (At this point): Mack Hollins KJ Hamler Andy Isabella Justin Shorter Tyrell Shavers Bryan Thompson Quintez Cephus Xavier Johnson Jr (UDFA) Lawrence Keys (UDFA) Quote

He’s going to prove this year that his was the bigger reason for Diggs’ success, much like many other receivers that have had their best years playing with Josh. MVP-caliber season ahead. allen MVP is a good bet this year. The narrative is already in place. 1 Quote
