Any WR you draft here is going to be #4 on the depth chart best case scenario and the #6 or #7 option in the passing game. I expect they might take a late round flier on a guy, but if they don't there are plenty of FAs available if they decide we need a player there (i don't think we do though. Mack Hollins is our WR4 Weve got people asking “what happens if Cook gets hurt” when we just had Allen throwing to IDGAF Diggs and JAG Sherfield in the Playoffs. 2 Quote

Rewound to see if I missed something but they did not even mention who the bills pick was. I only knew from watching this thread. Wtf Then you missed it. They did a nice profile piece on him and then showed highlights. Kiper likes him out of the backfield especially. 1 Quote

He's a fun guy to watch, but he's a RB3/KR at BEST. He's not a "1 play away from a starting role" player. Needed a younger upgrade there Quote
MPT Posted April 27 Posted April 27 33 minutes ago, DrDawkinstein said: Who promised you the bold? Beane watched us lose a ton of starters. We have holes all over the Defense, especially in depth. Anyone who thought we were going to sacrifice a bunch of picks for mid-round WRs was on the wrong track. Plus, you need 2 to tango and most of the teams are aware that the talent in this draft drops off a cliff after about 130 players. So those 5ths are worthless for trades. Case in point: You need to move next year's good picks just to get up in this draft. Pittsburgh didn't trade for that pick. However, the 49ers did just trade two 5th round picks for the Jets' 4th round pick. And that's straight up-- as in, they didn't even give up their own 4th. And the Jets also traded away a 4th round pick for next year's 3rd from the Lions. Again, straight up. That's a normal trade value for any draft. So your assessment of trade value is way off. It wouldn't have taken much to move up or even acquire an extra pick this round. And there have been 7 trades this round with teams moving up or acquiring picks so there's no shortage of partners either. 1 Quote

Ralonzo Posted April 27 Posted April 27 Chiefs take Jaden Hicks with the pick the Bills sent them. This is just gratuitous now, they already took our lunch money. 2 Quote

Too bad he didn't throw to Diggs a little more. Maybe he would have led us to Conference championship instead of another Pro-am. Also, Mack Hollins is a completely serviceable WR4, especially when you have Kincaid and Knox. He'll be the 6th passing option most likley Edited April 27 by BullBuchanan Quote

My opinion isn't the point, you and everyone acting like we didn't take one are being disingenuous, Beane is clearly higher on the guy than you are, would you be saying the same thing if they took Franklin at the same spot even though he was available in the 4th round? UKBillFan Posted April 27 Posted April 27 Damn, Jets take Allen. Wonder why the Bills favored Davis over him. Quote
Mango Posted April 27 Posted April 27 I know Ralph is from Detroit, but it kinda stung to see his niece announce Detroit's 4th with a "Go Lions" with his name on the screen. She also worked for the Bills for like 20 years. 3 1 Quote

Yea… a fumble and a massive drop, while taking yourself out every other play certainly means Allen should’ve forced him the ball. 1 1 1 2 Quote

Maybe teams arent as willing to help out the Bills as they are the Jets. Already reported no one took our calls on the last trade up attempt. Quote
ROCBillsBeliever Posted April 27 Posted April 27 Wow, Vaki goes earlier than many thought he would. Positionless, but super talented. Kinda wanted him in the 6th/7th. Quote
gonzo1105 Posted April 27 Posted April 27 Allen was a better RB before they switched schemes at Wisconsin. He's a two down back who needs to be in a gap scheme. If he runs a zone system he's gonna be awful. Unless he's their goalline back I don't see where he fits. Quote
