Wanted Adisa Issac. Why is Beane sitting on a pile of 5th round picks? Move up! We need an edge, not another small DT. Issac would have been a steal only to have him snatched 2 picks away.

I actually think this is a fine spot for Carter in the draft. He is a good player who will be good in our DT rotation.

 

I would have gone a different direction, but we did need some young players on the line.

I'm just going over this again and I don't get the value here. Especially with Booker on the board if you are ok with a part-timer for your 3rd round pick, at least take one with some friggin upside. This reads a lot like Boogie 2: Electric Boogaloo.

I can't say I know anything about him,  though I do think I've seen him mentioned in this area of the draft.  They definitely needed a reserve DT that might develop into a starter,  so I assume a good pick here.  They ran to turn in the card fast enough.
