finn Posted April 27 Posted April 27 Seems like a strong safety, which is Rapp's position. Looks like Mike Edwards is their free safety. 3 Quote

MikePJ76 Posted April 27 Posted April 27 Bryan Broaddus loves Cole Bishop. Said he is a day 1 starter at Free Safety. Said he is a true Free safety, intelligent hits and can cover. Can turn and run. 1 Quote
Logic Posted April 27 Posted April 27 (edited) I voiced my displeasure with the Coleman pick, so it's only fair that I say: Cole Bishop is a very good, very logical pick. Value meets need. Scheme fit. Culture fit. I'll be downright shocked if he doesn't start year one and for many years to come. Dawg. Gonna be a good one. Nice pick. Edited April 27 by Logic 6 1 Quote

RichRiderBills Posted April 27 Posted April 27 I like Rapp, but he's kinda a guy. Bishop could be a future all pro. Just a gut feeling. 1 2 Quote

Seems like a process guy. yup and generally I think they will get the most of him. at 60 getting a solid starter is considered a win, regardless of positional value. I think he will be a good player. 1 Quote
DJB Posted April 27 Posted April 27 Man Utah fans describe him as a modern day Eric Weddle. That’s exciting 1 1 Quote
PrimeTime101 Posted April 27 Posted April 27 For a long time we have fallen in love with Poyer/Hyde... That being said... there have been many conversations about lacking speed on the back end... and players taking bad angles at open players.. This is a Safety that finds players in the mix around the Line of scrimmage. Can go one on one against small slots. Runs a 4.45 39" Verticle 1.52 on the 10 yard split. This guy evaluates the field very well. Solid pick. Now lets go back and get WR at round 3. 6 Quote

A question is, will the modern rules permit defenses to adapt to that style of play. Can't hit "defenseless" receivers, can't hit QBs really at all, more difficult to tackle people from behind at all since you can't grab anything near the neck or shoulders or land on people's legs, etc. Quote
