For some reason, people CLAMOR over Tee Higgins and he has been the most average WR since he came in to the league and he can't stay healthy. He's never hit 75 catches, he has had 1091 and 1029 as his career highs and never more than 7 TDs in a year. Giving up #9 for that guy.... seems like lunacy. Not to mention, Cinci giving up that much to move up 9 spots is even worse. I guess my thought process is that KA is only there for this year, right? If they want a reliable guy long term to grow with Williams they can get a younger veteran who has been productive. Given their sudden increase in needs/players who don’t want to stay, perhaps that’s not going to be worth the trade now for Cinci Quote

dollars 2 donuts Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Doesn’t help us. They’ll undoubtedly pick a WR we are after. Quote
HappyDays Posted September 8 Author Posted September 8 Probably not a great sign that Chase is the one deciding if he's "too sick" to play or not. Hopefully he continues to feel "too sick" indefinitely. Classic Mike Brown trainwreck. 1 Quote
bigduke6 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 not sure what the Bengals are expected to do here. you simply cant remain competitive in the modern NFL if you have all your cap wrapped up in 2 guys. guys have to take team friendly deals if you want to keep talent around. if you want to be paid as the highest at your position, thats going to come with some negatives, one being winning. im all for players getting theirs, and yes Brown has a track record of being cheap, cuz hes not as flush as other owners, but whats the options here? this isnt the NBA where u can sink stupid money into one top ten player and still be able to compete nightly with a bunch of nobodies surrounding said player. CNYfan Posted September 8 Posted September 8 (edited) I don't like to take Mike Brown's side, but J. Chase is a year away from a typical extension. On the other hand, it may be less expensive to do it now - if M. Brown plans on doing it at all. Edited September 8 by CNYfan Quote
