Will we be in Super Bowl contention this year?

Man, we gotta win this year.

 

If we didn't have Josh, I almost wouldn't care.  But we're getting to a point where it's just wrong that this man - one of the ALL TIME GREATS - does not have a ring.

Oh, for sure. I think about Marino when I say stuff like that.  I hated playing against him at the time - but man, do I wish that guy (and Kelly) had rings.  They both deserve it.  I was glad Elway finally got his.

 

Allen even moreso.  He has brought so much to the game.  I see even fans of divisional rivals say things like, I hate the Bills, but Allen is so fun to watch. He's one of the marquee players in the league & delivers some jaw-dropping play week in & week out.

 

He has to get a title.  It's a team game - but this team has to rally and figure it out.

And they were in the playoffs almost every year.  Some of the greatest QBs never won a SB. Tarkenton, Fauts, Rivers, Kelly, Marino. Those are all HoF guys, and none of them won a ring. Then you look at Joe Flacco and Trent Dilfer. Wins are not a QB stat.

Yes-  Brock bowers-  a much more highly regarded TE (seen as a top 10 or higher talent in most eyes) is better than Dalton Kincaid.  I’ve never disputed that.  Great comparison.  Please find all the poor Brock Bowers/Dalton Kincaid comparisons I’ve made-  more crickets. 
 

🙄 here’s the difference between me and some others-  I own being wrong all the time.   I own being wrong before people call me out and laugh at some of my bad takes.  Others disappear-  crickets.  
 

Kincaid hasn’t impressed this season.  Lots to do with being the TE thrown the most uncatchable passes in the nfl- lots to do with his drops.  Lots to do with being under utilized.  I believe he has the lowest ratio of contested catches amongst TE.  That’s a good stat- as he’s always getting separation.  He also has a good amount of drops.

In fairness to @NewEra - and I do not always agree with him - he is always here. The poster he quoted and a few others who were very vocal in the offseason and then popped up for a couple of weeks after Baltimore completely disappear for weeks on end when the Bills win 7 straight. To me you do that and you deserve a level of ridicule when you return. I have no problem with people having wrong takes, we all do from time to time. But if you run from them and then pop back up months later to give another extreme opinion, and then in the odd case where you are right try and take a victory lap? Yea, you're an ass and deserve treating as such.

I don’t spend much time here in the off season. That’s because most posts are about draft stuff and I don’t watch college ball so I know nothing. 
 

is it too late for me to answer? As long as we have Josh Allen we are always contenders. I would have said the same thing before season start.

Yes unfortunately, he is not held in the same breath as a Brady or Manning or Elway...they all had at least two rings.

 

Again, ultimately it is a team sport and the superbowl victory is a team victory...you just want your best player to have a shot to win the coveted trophy.  Go Bills !!!

If your a division Champ i'd say your in the chase to get a Lombardi but for some here that's not good enough, if your not in the play offs you just can't get there from there !!

I wasn't really aware that @NewEra was calling Kincaid an asceding superstar TE.   Yeah he has pretty much blown so far this year.   I haven't seen a mea culpa on that until now either so maybe he has owned it or maybe @FireChans just called him out and you are presuming he owned it prior.   I don't know.    My issue is questioning his @BullBuchanan fandom and the vitriol used.    I bust people's balls all the time but it's not personal and hateful like that.   I mean a long distance, online participant only fan like New Era calling on another Bills fan's cred?   GTFOH that's hilarious. 😂

I think a little differently.  I imagine that I'm a young man with a young man's hormones.  There's a contest to win a dance with a angelically beautiful young lady.  The first part of the contest is skill based.  The 14 best competitors win a ticket to the dance hall.  But once at the dance hall, the contest become a combination of skill and luck, giving every competitor a chance. 

 

Earning a bye is the best alternative: home field advantage, one week of rest to get healthy, one fewer 50-50 game.   But whatever seed we are, I'm grateful to  Beane, McD, and Josh for getting us a ticket to the dance.

I own things all the time.  I own them before people call me out on them often.  It’s not that big of a deal to me like it is for some.  My ego isn’t that big -Cough-
