I have picked up the mantel this year.

Give me DHop and X Worthy.  The Bills WR room would then be an on-paper year over year improvement IMO.

how about Worthy + acquiring JJ / DK / Aiyuk

Allen A-Bomb Offense   Letsgo

I haven't been a fan of the fast feather, but if they end up with both Xaviers, that could be a nice combo.

both Xaviers is fine, one alone is insufficient.

I've been arguing for McConkey and Legette, but either way, or some other combination (draft or draft + trade), I believe Beane has to bring in a dynamic Z and a big X.

A trade up for Worthy - and taking him before Thomas is even off the board - is very possibly the surprise Beane move we’re all talking about Friday morning.

If we do this, I hope we trade up again in the 2nd for Coleman or Legette or Polk. Pair the speedy small WR with the big bodied contested catch specialist. I don't care if it means we have barely any picks on day three and have to give up one of our 2nds next year. Get two physical studs that win in different ways and put them on the field with Josh Allen for the next 5+ years, and the rest will figure itself out.

The more I’ve studied it the more I think we’re talking worthy at #28 or maybe even with a small trade up and Baker at #60

I can't dream that big because I can't figure out a way to come up with the draft capital and money.

But I have come up with a path for DHop. Tenn could be tempted to grab Rome at #7 (which is unrealistically high for the Bills to get to).  This would make DHop and his paltry $13M salary expendable (if he isn't already). Tenn just spent big bucks on Ridley and drafted a 1st round WR last year.

I love the idea of pairing DHop with the speedster X Worthy.  But I think to get Worthy the Bills may have to do Beane's usual small move up.  Maybe not even that small - they may have to move ahead of Miami.

I think you could be correct on all accounts. Miami loves speed, and if Worthy is your guy, you move ahead of worthy. Worthy is too skinny, but otherwise isn’t a one-trick pony - he has solid college production and tracks the long ball very well. His senior year was a bit of a letdown though

Getting in front of Miami is too rich for my blood. If they take Worthy I think it's a colossal mistake on their part and I would be inclined to just let them make that mistake and accept a different player for the Bills. I think if anything you have to get in front of Dallas at #24 and steal their player for a second year in a row. Currently Minnesota has the #23 pick. Good chance they trade it away in a big move up though.

To get from #28 to #23, one move that lines up with the draft value chart would be giving up our 2025 2nd from the Diggs trade and getting back a 2024 4th to balance the scales.

In that scenario we would still have plenty of day three ammo to move up in the 2nd round if we wanted and probably enough to get into the bottom of the 3rd round too.

Come away with something like:

-Worthy at #23

-Legette/Coleman/Polk at #53(ish)

-Pick #100(ish)

-5 day three picks

Sadly, if we move up for any WR in the first there is very little chance...I would say almost no chance...we take another WR in the 2nd.  We have some many other positions we need to address and we don't have a 3rd plus we will be without whatever other picks we included to move up in the first.

If we stay at 28 and take Worthy, then maybe they would go WR in 2nd too (and I would be pounding the table hard for Polk if we were to take a WR in the 2nd), but still without a 3rd and badly needing to address a couple other areas, I just highly doubt we go WR - WR even without trading up in rounds one and 2.

As I said before...I HOPE Miami takes Worthy, would be one of the worst moves they could make and I would love every second of it.  I assure you it will result in the firing of the whole regime a year from now.  With a better roster than they have now, and the fastest roster in the NFL the past 2 seasons they have only beaten 2 teams who had a winning record, blew a 4 game lead in the division with like 5 games to go, and haven't won a playoff game.

Their trenches are a total mess now and there will be great prospects on both sides of the trenches at 21.  Taking a guy who is going to be WR3 and maybe get 30-40 receptions this year (unless injuries give him more opportunities) is not changing anything for them.

As it is, they are staring down the barrel of missing the playoffs (which they barely made last year) this year.  Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, Texans, Bengals are all there...then you got Jets, Jags, Steelers, Browns, Colts, and maybe Chargers who will also all likely at least make some playoff noise if not flat out make the playoffs.

Nothing will be funnier to me than seeing Miami take Worthy and McDoofus show he has no idea how to build a football team outside of Madden.

Ya, I liked Coleman from the jump. Polk as we well and Legette is also coming on in my mind. Not a big fan of Worthy though. Hollywood Brown seems to be his comp. Brown isn't a bad player but I'm hopeful we can get more out of this pick especially if we trade up.

It’s either BTJ, Worthy or trade down imo if they don’t go way up

Only way I can see them go way up is if Odunze/Nabers gets to at least 12.  And there are paths for that to happen.

I think BTJ is very likely a target and one they would go up and get.  I hope we don't move up for Worthy though.  If we take Worthy at 28, fine, but I am not a fan of moving up for someone who has real question marks if his light frame can hold up to a WR1 role for 17 games and playoffs.  Will he even be able to get off the line in snow/bad weather games in Buffalo when the game gets more physical and slower?  LOVE the idea of his speed, but I fear his best traits are vulnerable to what comes with playing in Buffalo.

Fanduel has BTJ draft position over 19.5 at -172. Trade with Pitt could make sense if Buffalo is interested and he is available at that spot.

Both Worthy over 31.5 and Legette over 33.5 slight favorites to go end of round 1/early round 2.

I'm good with this idea, particularly with how defenses are likely to play us next year.

I'll also add that Beane seems to be a "go big or go home" guy, and he understands that sometimes paying a little more gets the buyer a lot more.  I keep on getting back to the idea that he's going to use that Minnesota pick next year to package up and get a big fish, be it Odunze, Nabers, or maybe a known quantity . . . like, say, Metcalf or Jefferson.

There ain't WR I want less than Worthy.

He's more effective from the slot.  Really only effective on outside less than 25% of time.  I have never seen a WR struggle so much with understanding where he is in reference to the sideline.  He is constantly stepping out.  Don't even get me started on his hands, they are worse than Gabe's.  Constantly dropping balls and has weak hands, meaning if a defender makes any contact on ball, he aint catching it.

Xavier Legette tape is way more impressive than Worthy.  There were multiple times this year where Worthy was even caught from behind, where Legette would take off.

Say no to Worthy.  I dont know how anyone could watch the tape last year and think this guy is a 1st round pick.
