Haha Xavier & Xavier would be fun I still am not 100% sure if ECB always gets real info or not, but I have seen enough from him to give some credence to his info. If this report is true, it is very interesting. The day before the 2022 draft it was reported by someone who worked for I think The Draft Network that we had brought Elam in on a top 30 visit earlier that week. This was not a widely publicized visit, it was kept under wraps except for that one writer that got the scoop. Last year after the draft Beane revealed that they had met virtually with Kincaid a couple times earlier in the week because they had zeroed in on him as a possible target. This was never reported by anybody. So this tweet from ECB is the kind of report I have been looking out for - a last minute report with information that isn't widely publicized that says we are doing work on a prospect the week of the draft. There might be something to this. In the 1st round Beane loves prospects with elite physical traits that interview well and have a good personality. Worthy fits the profile. 3 1 1 1 Quote
Yantha Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Keep an eye on the BEARS. Correct me if I'm wrong but they have the FEWEST picks in the draft and have two first rounders. I could see the Bears trade out of #9. Interestingly I just mocked the Bears and a trade offer was offered to me from.... THE BILLS. The offer was: Bills get: #9 Bears get: #28, #60, #204 AND both 2025 2nd rounders..... I accepted and the Bills autodraft was: #6: WR Rome Odunze, Washington #128: WR Malik Washington, Virginia #133: DT McKinnley Jackson, Texas A&M #144: RB Jaylen Wright, Tennessee #160: WR Jalen Coker, Holy Cross (yes a third wideout....) #162: S Kitan Oladpo, Oregon State #200: DT Fabien Lovett, Florida State #248: WR Ryan Flournoy, Missouri State (......aaaaand a forth wideout)... So.. save for the excessive WR picks, how would you feel about dropping THREE picks this year plus both 2nd rounders next year to land ROME ODUNZE at #9? 4 1 3 Quote

Aussie Joe Posted April 24 Posted April 24 I think all of the Bills trade up/ down/ trade for an established player scenarios have been suggested by now … so one of the Twitter “experts” is going to be correct … Just now, Warriorspikes51 said: Sign me up, but the cost may be 28, 128, 160, 2025 1st, 2nd Geez man … you don’t want to give up that 60… 😂 The Bears need picks this year to help out their rookie QB… Quote

Interestingly, the other Xavier having a private visit with us was news also put out today….which I hadn’t heard previously Legette would match the elite physical traits as well & has overcome more than many to get to where he is at 2 Quote

A trade up for Worthy - and taking him before Thomas is even off the board - is very possibly the surprise Beane move we’re all talking about Friday morning. 2 1 1 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted April 24 Posted April 24 man if they give up a bunch of picks for thomas I do not view that as good management. If 60 is in the deal and they don't pick again until the 4th round then Thomas better be among the leagues best wr in a year or two. Feels like there are a number of Ol and Corners who are better overall players than thomas. thursday can not get here fast enough. 1 Quote

Or is it fake news from Joe Brady hoping to re-create his time with Chase and Jefferson haha Quote

I haven't been a fan of the fast feather, but if they end up with both Xaviers, that could be a nice combo. Quote

What about Odunze and Legette ? Warrior Spikes splooging everywhere until he remembers that they got no picks next year and his Feb- Apr 2025 is going to be very boring … Quote

Warrior Spikes splooging everywhere until he remembers that they got no picks next year and his Feb- Apr 2025 is going to be very boring … Assuming you can keep a semblance of a draft in 2025 and grab Odunze, I would do it. I like Legette and McConkey. If I have Odunze, I'd rather add McConkey, but no one should argue with any one or combination of them. That would be a home run draft for the WR room. WarriorSpikes is a master story-teller. He'll find a way to create a plausible scenario for 2025, regardless. Like Rumplestiltskin, he's adept at taking straw and spinning it into gold. Whether that turns out true or maybe pyrite is another matter. Edited April 24 by Dr. Who Quote

Ok…so taking this to the full conclusion … would you do this if they gave up all their Day 1-2 picks next year ? So they would have a 4th , 6th and 7th … and a couple of comp picks .. Quote
