Bills!Win! Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Just watched the end of the game. The commentators said the bills should kick it deep and not squib it. So we lost a playoff game with 16 seconds and one with 13 seconds. Maybe we win the Super Bowl with 10 seconds left now Quote

SirAndrew Posted March 24 Posted March 24 A few things I gather from that game. We had an amazing defense, and it was a shame to waste. Eric Moulds would be an all time great if he ever had a QB. 2002 Bledsoe during the first half of the season was the only time. Lastly, I can’t believe that anyone thought/thinks Johnson was a decent QB. I’m not starting a Flutie vs Johnson debate, just saying the guy wasn’t good enough. QB play was a big reason the 1999 Bills didn’t go far. 1 Quote

Has there ever been a QB competition as passionate and ugly as that one? I remember wishing I could transform Flutie's brain into Johnson's body. Josh Allen also happened to be born right before both were signed here so maybe God had too much free time on his hands. Quote
BigDingus Posted March 24 Posted March 24 The first & only football game I've ever cried over... I grew up Catholic & was doing community service for my Confirmation. I was painting the house of this impoverished family, and they put the game on for me to watch while I painted. I went into it expecting us to lose... What team starts their backup QB for a playoff game when their starter is still healthy?! But as the game went on, I slowly started to hope. After Christie kicked that FG to put us ahead with seconds left, I was jumping around their kitchen & high-fiving the dad from that family. Then the stupidity that followed silenced the house. I walked away trying to hide my sadness, but just started crying. 12 year old me was devastated... I can only imagine how older Bills fans felt. 2 1 1 Quote

MMM today, I saw Hail Murray on the other day, and our 2019 Texans playoff loss was on last week. Looking at tomorrow's schedule, seriously wtf... Kind of makes sense!!! We have a lot of blowout wins the last four seasons, and all of our losses except for like 2 in that timespan were close, exciting games Quote
Another Fan Posted March 24 Posted March 24 During the drought years I actually re-watched the game a few times minus the last 22 seconds. I have to wonder if this game played any reason as to why the Bills didn't try a squib kick during 13 seconds? My unpopular opinion is only Super Bowl 25 was a tougher loss to take in Bills history since the 90s. Quote
Sierra Foothills Posted March 24 Posted March 24 This would be the right time for me to bring up the Travis Kelce to Kadarious Toney play that would have beaten us except for Toney’s stupidity. It was obvious to me that the Chiefs had practiced that play. It’s no coincidence that it happened on the 24th anniversary of the MCM and was Andy Reid’s attempt to put a dagger through our hearts for the rest of eternity. Quote

Maynard Posted March 24 Posted March 24 The quality of the broadcast was spectacular. I actually felt like I was in 1999. 1 Quote

julian Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I’ll always remember Joe Theisman on the broadcast saying the winner of this game will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl, he wasn’t wrong. 1 Quote

Buffalo Super Fan Posted March 25 Posted March 25 I saw that today as a Buffalo Bills fan I just channeled surf past that. No need to relive that Bills game. I saw it happen on television it wasn’t a good Bills memory. I rather forget the game in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo Quote
Gugny Posted March 25 Posted March 25 ***** Doug Flutie. One of the biggest #######s to ever wear a Bills uniform. At least if he’d had played in this game, it wouldn’t have even been close. So there’s that. ***** him. Love, Gugny 1 1 Quote
