When was he timed in the 40 and what was his time? I think MHJ will have a nice NFL career, but we're not talking about Megatron, or Randy Moss or Julio Jones here, which is how he's being hyped. I'd put Caleb Williams in the same over-hyped bucket too, but that's a whole 'nother discussion. Agreed on MHJ. Caleb I don’t know. The upside is there but the downside is he cries and pouts one stomps his feet on a path to a short career. Quote

If it wasn't for the QBs(who always get pushed up) he'd be the number 1 pick. A flat out great prospect who's being advised properly. Quote
Taro Nimbus Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Bills need to package Allen and Diggs and trade them to Arizona for the 4th pick in the draft. Then draft Harrison Jr. Him with Trubisky are the future of the Bills. Am I doing this right? 3 Quote

There is no QB he has ever caught a pass from here anymore to throw to him. His qb from this past year transferred already. He could run, but no reason to. He’s really the furthest thing from a diva. His approach has been to train for the nfl season. Not the draft evals. So that he’s ready as possible to go day 1 as a rookie. A lot of rookie WRs don’t have their first real offseason of nfl training until year 2. He’s starting now. All the teams know this. https://www.si.com/nfl/2024/02/26/takeaways-harrison-draft-combine-free-agency-franchise-tag Awesome !! Well that kind of work ethic & fore thought is more than likely what got him to this spot to be drafted first over all I'm glad he is that guy rather than the other guy . Marvin must have done a great job keeping him grounded !! I thought Winslow II was going to be a great player but it bit him bad which really stinks because the potential was there for him to be a great player like his dad but he couldn't get out of his own way . Matt_In_NH Posted March 20 Posted March 20 This is great, all the teams at the top of the draft will red flag him and he will drop to the Bills. 1 Quote
Mr. WEO Posted March 20 Posted March 20 "so many high-end draft prospects choosing to stay in school"... that's pretty funny. Too busy with their studies, no doubt. Jr. may be the next Ted Ginn. Hope he enjoys the desert--and being thrown to by an injury prone dwarf. Quote

Ethan in Cleveland Posted March 20 Posted March 20 The GM that passes on this kid to take JJ McCarthy should be fired before round 2 starts. If I was the Bears GM I would have traded down to 4 and taken Harrison. Now if I'm the Bears I trade #9 and next year's number 1 to Arizona for #4 and a 3rd round pick this year. Quote

Evans is just a huge WR, and obviously, he's an absolute dog. It remains to be seen whether Harrison can even run a 4.5. He ran at play at over 22mph...faster than any college or nfl player. And people still question if he's fast at all lol. Quote

What he’s put on “tape” over the course of his career along with his medicals are the only thing that matters at this point. The scouting is long over for MHJ. The only thing that might be a concern for a team is how he does in his meetings and the football acumen he demonstrates at those meetings. But he’d have to be a complete jerk and idiot for any team to think twice about taking him. Quote
Paup 1995MVP Posted March 21 Posted March 21 13 hours ago, mannc said: Folks, MHJ is one of the most overrated NFL prospects since Sam Darnold. If it wasn’t for his name, he’d be considered a borderline first rounder. Good hands and good size, but no explosiveness, no YAC ability and obviously an entitled attitude. Wouldn’t surprise me if he runs a 4.6. Anyone who takes him over Nabers or Odunze is making a huge mistake. Please stop with this nonsense. I like your take on MHJr. I don’t know if i exactly agree 100. But I like someone who has a different opinion. And I hate how much hype some of these guys get before even getting drafted. We smoked him and his overrated Buckeyes the past 3 years. He certainly did not dominate us. And who really knows how great he will be in the pros. Act like you care. Play in your teams bowl games and work out for the scouts. Act like you are a team guy who respects the process and the game. Quote

I don’t know if I agree 100% with my take either🤣….I mean, MHJ might turn out to be a great pro. I just hate the entitled attitude, which IMO is based largely on his name. Go watch the combine interview of Rome Odunze, who had every bit as good a college career as Harrison. They asked why he was there when other top receivers were taking a powder, and he talked about how much he loves to compete and how a guy’s combine performance is something for posterity and how he’s even competing against guys from years past. Give me a guy like Odunze or Josh Allen over the MHJs and Caleb Williamses of the world… Edited March 21 by mannc Quote

I wonder how high we’d need to get for him. Perhaps he makes it into the 12-15 range? Quote

We're not sniffing anywhere near him. We'd be lucky to be able to get to Brian Thomas Jr. As I've said before - we interviewed every Top WR Prospect at the Combine. We didn't even bother to do so with Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, or Rome Odunze. And for good reason. Quote
