This is what several of us hopped McDermott had fixed within himself this offseason. Odds are We are going to spend money we don't have to for a veteran safety. Move Johnson and or draft one between rounds 4-6. Yes, use common sense to move our all pro nickel potentially creating two holes instead of one! 2 1 2 1 Quote

MrEpsYtown Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Ayyyo my guy! He’s a perfect fit for what we do. Great athlete, tackles, has a nose for the football. 5 2 Quote

With Neal out, i do think its something they draft in that 4-5 round range in this years draft though. Quote

Don Otreply Posted March 18 Posted March 18 As long as his recent injury history (Achilles and shoulder) is not an on going issue then he becomes a player worth considering, Quote

Not learned it's lesson? You say this but then wanted Mike Williams lol? Mike Williams has missed 18 games the last two years, including a knee injury. Blackmon has missed 4. Move Johnson and or draft one between rounds 4-6. How would be creating a need by moving a guy who has consistently played at a very high level at a position be common sense? You have no guarantee that Johnson would be able to play at a high level at safety, and he's a top 3 Nickel CB in the NFL. This idea has about as much common sense as the jabronis on WGR calling for Allen to line up at LB during the playoffs. 1 1 Quote

Roundybout Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Would love this. He’s young enough that an injury like an Achilles shouldn’t be a long term issue. Quote
