They're seeing the higher food, gas and electricity prices. And as for crime, great, for 9 months last year it was down. Most people still don't believe it. 1
Tommy Callahan Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Welp. If USA today says so. A good way to make the data look good, is not charging crime, like Dem DA's are doing in Dem strongholds. If employment is great and inflation is over Target, the fed can't cut.. just saying 1

Tommy Callahan Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Yo L Ron. Leave your enclave and go to the local Dem stronghold after dark. Bet you haven't in decades. 1

B-Man Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Step one. Multimillion dollar fund manager ditches Tyson Foods, saying meat giant sacking US workers to hire 42,000 asylum seekers is the 'woke liberal takeover of America' by James Reinl A conservative fund manager has pulled investments from Tyson Foods, saying the meat and poultry giant has alienated its consumers by laying off Americans workers and hiring 42,000 asylum seekers. Bill Flaig, CEO and co-founder of the $79 million American Conservative Values Fund (ACVF), told DailyMail.com that he has divested from Tyson and won't buy any more stock in the company. Angry consumers are boycotting Tyson over revelations that the company is shuttering plants and laying off workers while hiring tens of thousands of asylum seekers — and even hiring lawyers for its new recruits https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13215789/fund-manager-ditches-Tyson-Foods-meat-sack-workers-asylum-seekers-woke-liberal-America.html . 2
Doc Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Everyone’s got a plan ‘til they get punched in the mouth. Oh wait, wrong Tyson… 1 2
The Frankish Reich Posted March 20 Posted March 20 (edited) A little story: 2007 - Bush 43 administration wanted to show that it was serious about immigration enforcement. The idea was to make a show of it ("we can really do enforcement" - this came after an earlier "catch and release" policy was highly criticized) to help get an immigration reform package passed. They had ICE raid a number of meat packing plants around the country. The one in Colorado employed hundreds of illegal/non-work authorized Mexicans, Guatemalans, etc. They arrested and deported about 300. The company had previously been warned and had ignored those warnings. Of course, there was a firestorm of criticism, but that's beside the point here. What did the company do? Did they have a big hiring fair, raise wages, and recruit hundreds of American workers to do the jobs "Americans just won't do?" No. They recruited a different category of aliens: Somali refugees and asylum seekers with work authorization. Overnight a Somali community was created in Greeley, Colorado. My takeaway: maybe there are jobs Americans just won't do. At least not without a huge wage increase that would raise the price of meat by about 50% ... EDIT: based on this, I'm a little skeptical about the claim that Tyson is cutting jobs held by "Americans" in favor of new asylum seekers. Remember, what happened before is they substituted one category of aliens for another. What percent of the workers in the current plant are citizens? I'm gonna guess it's pretty low. Fact is Tyson has long been exploiting immigrant labor. You’d think the Democrats be outraged, but, then they’d be stepping on Bill and Hillary’s home boys.
