Zona Posted March 26 Posted March 26 I agree with the thoughts about the Netflix show, Surviving Death. I was moved by the story about the cardinals. Also, my mother told me of her 'near' death experience after she died during childbirth for about 2 minutes and 45 seconds. Her experience was in 1970. I was told in 1978 when I was 13. And I've basically been interested in supernatural stuff ever since. Quote

Mr. Rust made us read "Death and Dying " by Elizabeth Kubler Ross, I remember that as one of the books that got me interested. That guy was a great teacher, I still use some of the stuff he taught. 2 Quote

Eminently preferable to the other psychology teacher who came, spent a year, and ran off for the hills. I didn't know you were a fugitive from the 'State Jail for the Criminally Insane'. And before you protesteth too much, Joe Wolf was the one who told us grade 11s that nickname. 😁 On 3/24/2024 at 9:23 AM, Augie said: No, he was psychology, I think. This was with Mr Scott and the other guy (also an EMT, Mr Ende?) in religion classes. The Christian Brothers taught chemistry and biology while the lay people taught religion, which I always found interesting. . 🎶Joy to the fishes in the CLC🎵 🎵Joy to Chuck Ende!🎶 8 minutes ago, Guffalo said: Mr. Rust made us read "Death and Dying " by Elizabeth Kubler Ross, I remember that as one of the books that got me interested. Those two books did more to form my faith than any CCD class I had to sit through! For that reason I’ve read countless similar books since, some of which are in the room where I sit right now. I still remember a bunch of stuff from Mr Rust’s class including the word adamant (or, “a damn ant” if you use the memory tricks). Lots of cool memories from those days. 1 Quote

She didn't feel any panic and was feeling comfort while dying... Quote

Mine is Apogee (with an Apache sitting on top of a mountain). He did have one the best classes at St. Joe's. 1 Quote

Tim Askey was a cool French teacher, too. He’d bring his two GIANT Newfoundlands in his van out to a park in Clarence where we were doing kegs and other high school kid things on weekends. I stayed in French longer (thru Junior year) because he was a fun teacher. Quote
