Interest rates should have been 8-10 percent then. Make this commie institution make sense. Edited Thursday at 06:10 PM by Big Blitz

Bessent is an old school Wall Street guy who made his career as George Soros' protege. He could bs his way into a place of supreme power by saying all the right Trumpy words, but he can't bring himself to take the next step in destroying our economy: exerting full political control over the Fed. 4 minutes ago, Big Blitz said: Why did they cut in September Why did it stay at near zero during the ENTIRE Obama administration Why did the FED allow Boomers to enrich themselves at our expense in the late 90s early 2000s? Biden inflation will be looked at as the good old days. 2

I'm asking questions I’m sure has some total B.S. explanation they can fake justify - I know the answer. It’s an independent institution in name only completely subject to the politics of our time - it will hide behind the fake answer to the questions I posited above. This is completely made up - all theory. Not in response to any actual data: The Fed faces stickier inflation, and uncertainty over how Trump’s tariffs will affect prices in the near term, a point highlighted by Powell in remarks Wednesday to the Economic Club of Chicago. Powell’s indication that the Fed didn’t see room to offer a pre-emptive cut amid rising worries over the economic fallout from the president’s tariff plans was blamed for a sharp selloff that saw stocks end Wednesday sharply lower. Political entity. Cant think of any other event that provided rising worries over any economic plans. Like shutting down earth. Edited Thursday at 06:31 PM by Big Blitz

Remind me again how tariffs help the middle class folks looking to buy a house 2

A 10 plus year one that can’t be fixed over night. Cant pay $250 - 300,000 for a house at 6 plus percent interest making a combined 120K a year. Thats $2500 a month. And houses that low depending where you are - good luck finding bc the people that bought during the Boomer golden age are paying $1500 a month for that house.

Every President since Reagan, with the possible exception of Sleepy Joe, has believed in Union busting. Every decade since the 80s, real wages for workers have stagnated or barely increased. Why's Bernie a bad idea? He's got an economic vision for the common man that isn't "Tell those poors to work three jobs so they can buy more equities so Green Line Goes Up". You'd have the worst of two worlds. I think Bernie (or someone with his exact ideology) would implement these tariffs the same way Trump is now. Less chaotic but still just another tax on the American people with broken promises of bringing back manufacturing jobs playing on nostalgia. However, he'd also push for legislation that increased the capital gains tax, implement every possible regulation he could come up with via EO, a national minimum wage despite different costs of living discrepancies throughout the country (if passed killing small businesses in poorer states), and an increase the tax rate on the people that fell in the upper tax brackets. Just the threat of this would lead to businesses not even think of investing here, a substantial decline in the stock market because there's no incentive to buy with a depressed economy, small businesses that would fold, an increase in unemployment, and at best a recession. That's pry the best case scenario as Congress would do everything they can do block not just his terrible economic policies but social one's as well. 1 1

You won't be seeing the Chinese doing it. Why are you and so many people cheering the commies over your own country? Are you really that bias and politically charged to choose those commie bastards over your own country? I seriously don't understand why people think China is worthy of defense or any praise compared to this country. China is one of the biggest pollution ridden countries, exploits labor at all turns (child, slave), engaged in genocide, completely white washes history (tiananmen square), created the Wuhan Virus, beheads CEO's who make bad toys, and they didn't even create General Tso's recipe proving absolutely they are frauds.

The same people cheering on Putin are furious when others dare to criticize dear leader over China. That’s not patriotism it’s blind nationalism in outrage drag. Criticism isn’t betrayal; it’s a civic duty. 8 minutes ago, boyst said: China is one of the biggest pollution ridden countries, exploits labor at all turns (child, slave), engaged in genocide, completely white washes history (tiananmen square), created the Wuhan Virus, beheads CEO's who make bad toys, and they didn't even create General Tso's recipe proving absolutely they are frauds. Trump openly shrugged off China’s human rights abuses, praised authoritarian leaders, and still somehow became the hero of the “freedom” crowd. The same folks who cheered that on now lose their minds when someone critiques Trump. Spare me. 1

My little paws just wanted a hug so tight, Not to be told to take my feelings out of sight. My Care Bear stare is usually full of gleam, Not meant to cause a grumpy, frowning dream. Perhaps my wishes seemed a little loud, Lost in a fluffy, thunderous cloud. But telling me to wander far away, Makes my happy sunshine turn to gray. I only wanted to share what's in my soul, Not to lose all loving, gentle control. So though your words may sting a tiny bit, I'll try to find a place where I can sit. And maybe when the grumbles disappear, My joyful heart can bring some happy cheer. 1 1

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make or what forgotten generation you belong to. 1
