Bernie was at Coachella preaching to the crowd about the hardships that people like them are having to endure. People oppressed by the policies of the current administration, that can spend $700+ on show tickets and thousands more to enjoy a few days of entertainment. Hardships? That's comical. But that's how coastal liberal elites view themselves and the world. Higher prices on essentials like Guacamole sets them off into a panic.

I wonder if those who feel compelled by music to rage against the machine see any irony in the corporate sponsorship by AmEx and other conglomerates, or consider that the message is delivered by incredibly wealthy people with the collective ability to give away hundreds of millions of dollars today (and still live quite comfortably in the upper 1%).  Or, if they stop to consider the enormous damage to the climate wrought so they can listen to their favorite artist in person p, though often with 52,000 fellow climate vandals directly in front of them.

I have to be very careful when referencing certain entertainers with 4th based on my interaction with him yesterday. He gets turned around a bit.    It’s quite possible he will think (the living) George Benson is (the fictional) George Jefferson, played magnificently by (the deceased) Sherman Hemsley.

President Trump said Japan is set to kick off tariff negotiations with the US in Washington on Wednesday — becoming one of the first countries to test his willingness to relent on the sweeping tariffs.

 

“Japan is coming in today to negotiate Tariffs, the cost of military support, and ‘TRADE FAIRNESS’,” Trump said in a Truth Social post.

 

“I will attend the meeting, along with Treasury & Commerce Secretaries. Hopefully something can be worked out which is good (GREAT!) for Japan and the USA!”

 

It comes a day after the Trump administration said it had been presented with offers from at least 15 nations for bespoke trade deals following the president’s announcement last week of a 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs.

 

More than 75 countries have reached out to request talks, too.
