So Trump wants tariffs, increasing the cost that all dealers will have to pay, and then he wants them to eat that cost? Of course that cost will be passed on to the buying public! So what do all the republicans who say Biden was a communist have to say about this? 
 

In addition, the cost of used cars will rise since more people will be shopping used and there is a massive shortage of good used cars due to supply chain problems after Covid. But that’s not all. The cost to repair our cars will increase as the parts are more expensive due to the Trump tax and the cost to insure our cars will be higher since it will cost more to repair them. We will all get to pay more to Donald while he will give his billionaire buddies tax cuts.

Wow. First, we aren't talking about NAFTA. Autopac favored Canada and that simply isn't negotiable. NAFTA did shift favor to Mexico from Canada.

If they aren't allowed to raise prices but their costs go up the only option they'd have is to lay off workers.  Either that or they ignore him and raise prices anyways.  Either outcome is not optimal.  Doesn't he realize a lot of the parts used by American car companies to make cars are imported from other countries?  It will take years to move manufacturing to the US and even then it will be less efficient and cost more.  This will jack up car insurance premiums too. Also, if you're the head of these companies how can you plan long term if there's no guarantee that these Tariffs will be permanent?

We and the world now know, don't trust the US or its people, or it's businesses. Money is the result of business, but trust is the real currency. That will be the lesson.

This could happen, too.  Probably both this and the immediately former post.  Higher prices, and fewer jobs.

Honest question--do you think he's doing more than what he campaigned on and was elected by a majority to do? As an fyi, I didn't vote for him, but it sure seems to me that he ran on this agenda?
