I can’t speak to what questions were asked during the inflation crisis, but I’m sure you know exactly what was and wasn’t asked, lol.

But to “what about Biden” this moment is ridiculous. The inflation crisis was caused by supply chain issues, that’s been established and accepted by people who deal in reality.

This tariff crisis is completely Trump-inflicted, so the questions I posed should 100% be asked and answered. The fact that you, a Trump cultist, think it’s acceptable for Trump to cause a financial disaster, with unsound economic reasoning, and not provide a detailed plan or exit strategy is sad. Give yourself a round of applause, you are such a great lemming.

He isn’t “causing” a financial disaster.

He inherited one.

Where a consequence of remedying it the right way is going to mean some short term problems.  With long run economic stability and sanity being restored.

And no, it wasn’t supply chain issues.  It was that we put 10 trillion dollars of government spending into an economy where we made everyone stay home in order to keep us afloat all for a flu we still have no answers to.

your intellectual dishonesty is hilarious if not profoundly sad.  you asked for data.  I provided it.  you reject it out of hand, without data to support your "argument".  btw, what does race have to do with it?  look it up.  As Frank pointed out, there are plenty of whites in that demographic including Vance's family members.  losers....As far as why the losers (like you?) changed their party, it's multifactorial but anger, resentment, the longing to believe in an economic and cultural messiah and the belief they have found someone who (pretends to) listen to them all play a role.

It's not an argument.  You provided me a link that killed your premise.  Fifty-one percent is not "mostly voted for Trump."

You're wasting your time Doctor.

Joe is incapable of admitting his mistakes.   Proven time and time again.

I see that.  I'd read the fine print with that Honda article though.

"Honda has made no such announcement and will not comment on this report. The Honda Civic has been made in our Indiana Auto Plant since the facility opened in 2008 based on our longstanding approach to build products close to the customer. We have the flexibility to produce products in each region based on customer needs and market conditions."

Oh, I know that everything is flexible with these kinds of announcements, thanks.

The Tariff Game.

by JefferyCarter

“Every Democrat took to X and said, Trump campaigned on ending inflation but tariffs are going to increase inflation. I knew Democrats couldn’t grasp economic concepts before, but now they are full-throated in their ignorance.”

“The way $DOGE is working, they are uncovering billions and billions of government largesse and waste.

We will see budget cuts in the 20% of the budget that is discretionary.

Interestingly, if we spent at 2019 levels and took in taxes as we did in 2023, the US Budget would be in surplus and we’d be paying debt down.

Ending 100% of all payments to NGOs is a fantastic idea. We will save trillions. . . . Trump is getting a lot of stuff done that people in the US have wanted en masse for years.

Who hasn’t heard a liberal or a conservative say they want good government? Who hasn’t heard someone say they want to eliminate waste? All the crying you hear today is from people actually seeing waste get eliminated.”

But read the whole thing.

No, they are not uncovering “billions and billions” in waste. They don’t know how to read spreadsheets.

You will eat your turnips and be happy.

But I do feel compelled to defend the lowly turnip. I have made a very tasty (and hot) ultra low carb pork green chile stew with turnips substituting for potatoes. They are really good if cooked correctly in a dish that doesn't depend on their flavor but rather on their texture.

I don’t think I’ve eaten a turnip in my life. Parsnips, sure.

Then 49.8 % doesn’t put trump in the White House. By definition 51 is more than 47 except for dumb MAGAs.   What is your threshold for most?  Cuz your opinion is what counts🤓

"Mostly voted" would be at least above 70% for dumb MAGA's or nuclear scientists.

Amazing. We have nuclear scientists, molecular biologists and anesthesiologists on the maga team here  yet they're unconcerned with the effects of tariffs on the markets. Meanwhile a couple lawyers, a couple engineers and a physician on the progressive side are concerned. All while the higher educated and more highly reimbursed nationally are becoming progressives in droves. Weird.
and 70% seems pretty random. Also stupid…

Most people would agree that 70% or more would be "mostly voted."  I don't have any study done to back that up though.

You know, quantum physics requires uncertainty.  Are you a particle or a wave?  51 % chance particle, 47% wave.  Therefore, mostly particle.

Trump's tariffs are controversial. Legitimate arguments on both sides.

What isn't controversial:

Opening the southern border on purpose is bad.

An obviously oatmeal brained and senile POTUS is bad.

Trans women (men) competing against real women is grossly unfair and dangerous.

If you fall on the 20 side of those 80/20 issues then I don't give a single shlit what your thoughts are on topics that are actually debate worthy.

Interesting thoughts but it will take a full two minutes to listen to them.

Tariffs are a bandaid solution for restoring US manufacturing, one that will most likely fail because the plan is half-baked.

First off, you think American youth are interested in working 50-60 hour weeks in physically demanding jobs? And driving up the cost of goods won’t pair well with the new jobs…work harder for less, sounds great.

And in the 1970’s CEO pay was 30 times the average worker, it’s now 325 times the compensation the average worker gets. So all of a sudden CEOs are going to stop cutting costs and lining their pockets? CEOs are going to fund innovation, instead of their 4th home? Sure…

Capitalism and greed, two American staples, killed the middle class, and no amount of tariffs will bring decent wages back.

I mean if Trump wants to reshape our economy as he sees fit through government edicts it's his prerogative, and also that badge you have as your avatar is clearly ironic.
