Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Smart move by the Steelers. Pull the plug now; draft a guy like a Penix to groom Behind Wilson. 7 4 Quote
TheBrownBear Posted March 15 Posted March 15 I didn't watch the Steelers much at all last year. Was Pickett really that bad last year? I thought everyone viewed him pretty promisingly heading into 2023. Quote

Ethan in Cleveland Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Don't understand this move from Eagles perspective? Only way it pays off is if Hurts misses seom time and Pickett looks good and then you trade him. All they did was lose draft position and gain nothing. What am I missing? 2 6 Quote

They traded for a backup that recently was a 1st round pick. For essentially a 4th round pick. If they liked him coming out, there like him better than a QB option in the draft in the 4th round 1 2 Quote

This is utterly pointless by the eagles. Maybe they just think he is worth that much as a backup QB…. Which he is not. 2 1 Quote
MiltonWaddams Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Let’s give the Steelers a big hand for this move… 1 5 Quote

Just sign a QB off the trash heap. I do not understand giving up a 4th rounder for a backup QB when you can sign one without giving up any draft picks. 1 Quote

GunnerBill Posted March 15 Posted March 15 I think it was @Royale with Cheese I was talking to when he was defending Tomlin for winning with a 3rd string QB and I said counting Pickett as their 1st string was a mistake and he would likely never play another down for them. Between the weak QB class, the team with a desperate need and the combination of injury and tentitative play there is a lot of EJ Manuel in the way this went down. 1 Quote
