NOT A GABE REPLACEMENT

The Bills don't need a Gabe replacement.   They need a better player than Gabe and that's what the draft should provide.   But I think Mack Hollins is very Gabe-like in many regards.   Including being a bit of a weirdo.

My sources tell me this is a 1 year deal worth 6.5 million and a 500K signing bonus.

Your Sources are Wrong considering it is an UP to 3M deal

Yeah. He seems like discount Gabe Davis, but without the lure of being "young and improving" and thus enticing the coaches to try to make him a viable WR2.

Hopefully he's nothing more than a gunner and never sees the field for meaningful offensive snaps other than as a blocker on obvious run plays.

Mack Hollins looked okay on the Raiders, but he's a bottom of the roster type guy, WR4/5 with some special teams upside.

This shouldn't change anything in regards to the WR room needs, but eh...

After Sherfield and Harty I'm not going to get excited.

I don’t know if he can play football, but he’s right about cats.    😋

These are the types of signings I expect. Fill holes inexpensively before the draft.

I like cats. Mack Hollins is not welcome at my house. We also eat with utensils here, so that’s another thing he wouldn’t like.

He may well make the roster as a gunner/STer 5th or 6th WR - why would you have a problem with that?  He's shown he can produce more with a good QB throwing to him than most #5 or 6 WR do.

He's a roster lock

People that are upset with this signing don't understand how rosters work

Gabe replacement comes at #28 or earlier with a trade up

Geez... not every signing is a big splash.  You need these type of veteran guys to fill out a roster and/or if nothing else, push the rookies in training camp.  We're limited with cash and unfortunately need to hit the scrap heap.  It's just the way it is this year.

Diggs has become the most important player in my opinion.  If he is not playing at a top 5 level we are toast next season.

This is an upgrade to Sherfield

Man i sure hope so maybe he can make 2 good plays instead of 1 for the season ... Given all the hype last year for Sherfield and what they got out of him it sure wasn't worth the money !!
