4thandGoal Posted March 18 Posted March 18 I do like Hollins as a WR -- He is not a #2 but he will be much better then some of you give him credit for. 1 1 Quote

We have our #1 & #3 WR and we have 3 WRs behind them with veteran experience. Then, we have 11 Draft picks in a WR rich Draft year. Mow the lawn and chill out. i was just looking to see if this had been posted. I'm excited by how much he could teach coleman. 1 Quote
TurfToeJam Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I just want to say this game really made me a fan of mack hollins. The effort he puts in is awesome. Not so much catching the ball but rather all the small stuff he does. He puts in 100% effort and his enthusiasm is contagious. 1 4 2 Quote

Can't say that about every game this year. I can see him coming back in a core special teamer role next year and not be upset about it. Quote

His leadership was integral to the Bills turning that game around coming out of the half, imo. 4 Quote

Woods worked his way up to a #2 WR and was overall better than Hollins but I 100% believe that Hollins is an important piece on this team Hollins took 45 snaps today Shakir 35 Samuel 17 Cook 36 Kincaid 52 Knox 43 Johnson 19 2 Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Clutch catch. Not a big fan, but he is making me reconsider my thoughts 1 Quote
RiotAct Posted November 4 Posted November 4 not the fastest guy, but strong while in tight and a really good blocker. 1 Quote

gonzo1105 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I wont read through this whole thread but I have to assume the flow of emotions from the signing to his good game vs bad games is impeccable. Same with the Bass thread etc etc. Quote
GunnerBill Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I think Hollins has played well. But the points about his limitations as a player are not disproven. He is who he is. Kudos to him for making an impact. I think the one thing I probably didn't appreciate enough about him is that he is a pretty precise route runner. He is just slower than steak pie. Quote

Kirby Jackson Posted November 4 Posted November 4 (edited) Mack was fine today. He’s tough and caught all 5 balls thrown his way. This was, by far, his best game. He’s just so limited physically that he should never play that many snaps (although I get it with injuries). He helped in that victory today. The Bills really need Amari back. That was clear today. They did a nice job scheming without him but have to be able to drive the ball 15 yards down the field. I really love that they are getting so much yac now. With that being said, the pendulum has to swing that far without Amari on the field. When he’s in there it is a nice balance. They survived vs. Miami but 32 of 39 throws of 5 air yards or less isn’t sustainable (even with as good as Josh is). Edited November 4 by Kirby Jackson 4 Quote
WotAGuy Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Hear me out - Mack needs to be the holder; Bass’s problems disappear and both are in the HOF. Read it here first. Quote

What you say is correct, we need bodies. Sure. I get it. But we’re also in cap hell. Yet we’re wasting what little cap dollars we have on guys that are terrible. Or won’t make make any impact. Again, save the little money you have, sign an undrafted rookie to take this guys place instead and bundle up all your little 1-3m contracts that you saved and actually go out and try and find someone worth it. it’s not rocket science This take aged poorly my guy. Beane actually went out and found a good WR unit to pair with a very good TE unit, RB unit and OL. and there isn’t a 7th rd rookie WR that could have had the same impact that Mack hollins has had on this team. people love to hate, so many will hate on Mack, but he’s been a good signing. He catches it just fine. Keon has way more drops Quote
