I think if Daboll had been Pat's HC rather than McD, he would've had a shot at one (maybe 2?). Josh with Andy would've been 2 Lombardi's guaranteed.

Mahomes and Kelce ran what they wanted during 13 seconds, not what Reid called. I just  think it’s so much more we don’t talk about with the Chiefs. The Bills haven’t had a Kelce, Chris Jones, and others.

How about this? Put Kelce and Chris Jones on the Bills instead of KC. I think the Bills have 3 Super Bowls also.

Mahomes is in a different tier than Allen. He's just so much more collected, has way better judgement and is one of the most clutch athletes I've ever seen. Physically they're about equal with a slight edge to Josh, but mentally Mahomes has a significant edge.

With that in mind, the Bills FO is such a mess that they'd hold Mahomes back, but I believe that Mahomes with the Bills likely beats Allen in the 13 seconds game and he definitely beats him this year. Maybe that doesn't materialize into championships. I think Allen probably gets one SB at least with Reid and definitely has an MVP.

Josh is missing two things Mahomes has its patience and accuracy. Mahomes would've no doubt taken that underneath pass to Diggs on 2nd and 9. Mahomes started looking like Brady in these playoffs as he took everything the defense was giving him and that's scary thing to see.

Coming out of college Mahomes was the best QB I ever scouted and there's no doubt in my mind he would be the same superstar whether he played for the Bills or basically any other team.

Too bad you weren't a scout for the Bills, huh?

In addition to the two you mentioned Mahomes is also calmer under pressure than Allen. These are glaringly obvious when you watch them play but somehow most Bills fans refuse to see it. These are traits that have nothing to do with organizations.

What if the only difference between the Chiefs and the Bills were the quarterbacks for the last 4 years, Imagine Josh Allen on the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes on the Bills. It's my opinion that the Chiefs would still have won at least 2, possibly all 3 Super Bowls. I think the Bills still come up short even with Mahomes. I think Josh Allen would be talked about as the Goat instead of Mahomes. Organizations help make a player a champion, and the Chiefs organization is better than the Bills. Just one man's opinion, a longsuffering Bills fan.  😔

This is an exercise in futility that only Bills fans do. Allen is a great qb and is already getting as much credit as he should from the media and general NFL fans. Anything more will require winning superbowls. Stop trying to put the cart before the horse.

It burns my eyes just having to look at this post

I love the Bills and I freaking hate Kermit Mahomes

It would probably damage my soul permanently to have to root for him

Go to the Chiefs board then.

Honestly, I completely agree.  Josh career would like a lot like Mahomes does in terms of MVPs and SB Trophies and Mahomes would likely mirror Josh's and be empty as well.

I really believe Mahomes and Allen are neck and neck talent wise and the situations have dictated the better overall TEAM results Mahomes has experienced in KC vs Josh in Buffalo.

13secs was flat out on Mcd nobody not Mahomes not Allen could've saved that. Mcd just gave them the 3pts for free . I'll never forgive him for that.

Pretty sure the discussion has always been what if Allen and Mahomes were on the opposite team, regardless of if it was one or three.

Reid didn't win a SB till he got to his 2nd head coaching job, and after 13 years HC experience in Philly

I'm confident McDermott can do that to.

i read this in a backhanded way, where the implication is that mcd can win after we fire him, long into the future.

i chortled.

Coaching is as important to SB appearances & wins as quarterbacking is.

Look at the history of the SB.  It happens - but it's rare that a coach not considered top tier makes it.

I don't think the results would be mirrors of each other, but Allen would for sure have a Lombardi or 2.  I don't think Mahomes would have gotten us there, if all other circumstances were the same.  Someone on this thread said he would have won the 13 seconds game for us - how?  Allen left the field w/ a lead, with (as we know) 13 seconds to go.

What if Peyton Manning and Tom Brady swapped?

Brady would still be the GOAT.

Mahomes is the GOAT.

To think circumstances and situations don't play huge roles in NFL players careers is ridiculous

Patrick mahomes got to learn from the best quarterback whisperer of the last 30 years... Then got to sit for a year behind a pro bowl quarterback

Both 100% will benefit any professional quarterback

Josh Allen got thrown into the fire with a mediocre offensive line and mediocre weapons...

He was forced to sink or swim... Which has destroyed plenty of players careers

Patrick mahomes absolutely needed his 1-year on the bench, which certainly helped his vault into the upper echelon of quarterbacks

Football is literally all about situations.. where you go ,what coach you get...

To think he'd be the same if he wound up on the cardinals or something

It takes two to tango it's always has is always will... Tom Brady getting the greatest defensive Mastermind in NFL history absolutely was crucial to the first decade of his career

Sure he maybe didn't need bill when he was 38..  he did when he was 24

Tyreek Hill called mahomes trash as a rookie lol sure he probably was over exaggerating... But he was speaking from what he was watching in practice

He wasn't ready

That's like saying Jordan poyer and Micah Hyde would have turned into all pros anywhere... No they're good football players who owe their accolades to Sean McDermott and putting them in the right spot

Very few people like Bruce Smith or Myles Garrett can be successful everywhere

Are you allowed to be a Bills fan if you don’t believe your QB is the GOAT?

Did we all have to believe Trent would’ve been Brady with better coaching to be Bills fans?
