Picks after the 3rd round have proven to be golden for this team there was a chart last year that said Beane was one of the best drafters after the third round in the league I think only San Fran was better.
So any comp picks I will gladly take despite it most likely not being a 3rd.

Comp picks are fake. Don't count on them. They reviewed this year's again & still kept us & SF at 4th round but gave Cincy a 3rd round. Totally not worth it. No one seems to really understand the supposed "formula", Beane & the experts said it would be a 3rd & planned accordingly. We'll give up talent & end up with a 7th next year. Until they fix it so the process is transparent & everyone can understand it & know what they'll actually get, it's about as real as the Easter bunny and as reliable as Nathan Peterman in the 1st half of a Bills game.

"This is something I don't understand, so I'm going to say it's a hoax!"

The new normal.

Brandon Beane doesn't understand it. Clearly planned to have a 3rd when he traded for Douglas. Every NFL analyst doesn't understand it, said it would be a 3rd. No one understands it except the handful of people who decided it was a 4th. & That's exactly my point. There's not enough transparency so everyone understands how it works. & Without that info you're making decisions based on guesses, which is not a good or reliable plan. It's a plan based on an assumption that may not come true, thus a hoax...

Don't worry I'm just bitter that it appears arbitrary when no one is allowed to know how it works. For all you or I or Beane or anyone else knows this is how they decide:

Don’t bother we’ll be screwed over

Like we have been this year? The league adjusts their picks to a third for Cincinnati even though Tremaine Edmonds signed for more money then the guy Cincy lost!! How does this make any sense? Pegula needs to call the league and demand the third that they are owed.

After getting screwed this year,to heck with comp picks.

Yup, whatever pick we're supposed to get, Roger will make sure it's one round later. It's his mission statement.

Whom else could be signed elsewhere and give us comp picks? Off the top of my head, Hyde, Dane Jackson, Dodson, Poona ford, that other DT we signed, Sherfield, maybe more?

none of these would bring much but still could bring something. A 7th could turn into a Dane Jackson type or a punter

A 4th and a 5th , that turns into a 5th and a 6th or something like that based on the HOAX!  Still waiting to see where the dart lands.....

that's because the Broncos signed a new quality assistant onside kick coach who is an ambidextrous french canadian with they/them pronouns that will cause the former team he worked on (Jets) to get a 2nd round.

Great... Thank you for this... People are still able to get a pick for Ronald Darby... Dang!   I know this is not concrete because it also depends on the net loss from player signed by another team and a player that you signed. DO they have this chart for the compensatory picks for this year and what player each team lost.

Sort of random observation but today there has been a big shift in OTC data. Mack Hollins, who was previously way below the threshold, is now listed exactly as cutoff player at 670 (I am not sure, but he was listed as something like 710th or so before).

This results in Bills losing 5th round pick for Floyd, and leave us with 4th round for Gabe Davis only.

I know that after Tremaine debacle these unofficial sources need to be taken with a grain of salt, but I still find it interesting.

Hopefully once all is said and done Hollins will fall under the line and we'll get 4th and 5th.

it’s one of the first times in years there’s been a discrepancy in predicting them and it was 2 guys by 1 round.

while imperfect it’s still about 98% forecastable

Ugghhh....Mack Hollins $2.6M contract (7th rd compensatory....barely) wipes out Floyd's $10M, 5th rd loss? Something seriously wrong with that.....

Gabe Davis barely hanging on to the last 4th round comp pick.

After the NFL screwed us with the 3rd, I really don’t care about comp picks.

At this point you're right. You might as well not even plan for these. Whatever falls in our lap is gravy. The fairness of their system should be under scrutiny, but hardly worth stressing over anymore.

This happened last year I think with that site.  It was a glitch or something to do with the draft data.  I think it will be fixed soon.

& Yet it was 100% wrong when forecast for the Bills. It burned them this year. I wouldn't go relying on it again. Treat it like found money if/when you get it.
