Weak deal…should have gotten at least $30 mil per

I don’t think the AAV is out there, is it?

The 95M is the guaranteed part.

He's as important on that team as anyone not named Mahomes & Kelce.

Kind of bummed he'll be there awhile, but certainly a smart move for them to do this.

Curious to see what the signing bonus is. Cap specialists that know more than me can correct if wrong, but pretty sure they'll be able to spread that out over the five years even though they'll likely have an easy way out after 3.

Hate this.

Guy was the best player on either side of the field against the Bills and in the Super Bowl and should have been the unanimous MVP.

One of the few times KC’s front office really botched a situation.

Why would you franchise him at nearly $23M last year just to give him a record breaking $19M deal the following year?

I’m sure they lost sleep over that on their way to 2 SB rings

Agreed. He should have been Super Bowl MVP.

He turns 30 in a few months though. We can only hope this turns into a Von Miller situation where he loses it in a couple years.

They would have had those rings even if they gave him this deal last year.

I have no idea why they played hard ball with him last offseason, which pissed him off so much that he sat out games (though he clearly got over it), just to give him a record setting deal less than 8 months later.

I guess I don’t see the benefit in that. I would have given him this deal last year, is my point.

Alls well that ends well I guess.

Atleast between sneed and jones staying they used up a lot of their cap space

They're trading Sneed, likely for a 2nd rounder. Would give them four picks in first three rounds, two of which will likely be a WR.
