Yeah, that's because he's on a 1 year, 10 million dollar contract. You're not getting much for a guy who you're getting 1 year out of and taking 10m off someone else's book for.

Donte Jackson is a pretty damn good player so it’s not that cheap of a cost. I’d peg Jackson as a 3rd round pick

Maybe Pitt wanted him out sooner than later so can use his cap space to sign other player(s).

He is one of the most frustrating receivers in the league The Steelers are smart to unload these meh guys like Claypool and Johnson for some value.
