You remember Anthony Ornato, right? He was supposedly Cassidy Hutchinson's "source" who said that Trump lunged for the steering wheel to try to get to the Capitol on J6....

Well that fairytale nonsense is also put to bed with this previously hidden testimony now seeing the light of day. Tldr; Trumps handlers had decided days before that he wouldn't go to the Capitol.

But on to the the national guard issue....

Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato’s first transcribed interview with the committee was conducted on January 28, 2022. In it, he told Cheney and her investigators that he overheard White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows push Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser to request as many National Guard troops as she needed to protect the city.

....

All of the transcripts will be released by September  2022, right King?

However, transcripts of fewer than half of the 1,000 interviews the committee claims it conducted are posted on that site. It is unclear how many of the hidden transcripts include exonerating information suppressed by the committee.

A January 6 committee staffer asked Ornato, “When it comes to the National Guard statement about having 10,000 troops or any other number of troops, do you recall any discussion prior to the 6th about whether and how many National Guard troops to deploy on January 6th?”

Ornato surprised the committee by noting he did recall a conversation between Meadows and Bowser: “He was on the phone with her and wanted to make sure she had everything that she needed,” Ornato told investigators.

Oh...and Kash Patel also testified under oath to these very same details?

You dont say.

Cmon, King why don't you remind us about how testimony under oath is so important.  They wouldn't lie and risk perjury!

Why haven't Ornato and Patel been charged?

So a transcript is revealed from the J6 committee,  that for some reason they kept hidden from the public record about the National Guard, the White House and J6.

This transcript reveals testimony from a Trump white house official that corroborates previous claims and testimony that the Trump white house did indeed authorize up to 10k national guard troops for J6.

Keep in mind once again that this testimony was kept hidden from the public until yesterday.

Given these facts Billsfuk.c is claiming that the messenger is lying?

Well golly gee....

Next you'll tell me that water is wet and that Billsfuk.c is a useful idiot.

Which National Guard units would have been deployed to the Capitol?

EDIT:  Nm, it would've been the DC National Guard, which is under direct control of the POTUS.

NFW!

For the 1000th time Trump, or any POTUS, does not have the authority TO DEPLOY THE ***** NATIONAL GUARD UNILATERALLY.

He can only authorize it, which he did. In order to deploy the NG, LOCAL AUTHORITIES have to make an official request.

In this case it required either the DC mayor or official at the Capitol to MAKE THAT REQUEST.

The DC mayor and the officials at the Capitol DECLINED requesting the NG MULTIPLE TIMES.

You want to contradict Cassidy Hutchison?

Get some other low level WH staffer to testify under oath by using the hearsay qualifier "I heard Mr. or Ms. so and so say something to the effect of.....that President Trump did X" in all of their responses.

Boom.  Contradicted by more hearsay.

Yes, they'll tell what actually happened that day, not what someone heard from someone else at 31 Flavors.  Which would go to the credibility of her (entirely) hearsay "testimony."  And that's why they won't call them.

That's not entirely true.  The POTUS may mobilize the NG for domestic law enforcement purposes under Title 10 via powers granted in the Insurrection Act.  For example, this was done during the 1992 Los Angeles Riots.

In addition, the DC NG is a special exception to this.  The POTUS or the Commanding General has the discretion to deploy them locally; the POTUS is the DC equivalent of the governor of a state.  The mayor of DC does not possess this authority, and hence does not have the ability to prevent the activation of the DC NG simply by foregoing a formal request.

Also, the DC NG was estimated to only have 2,500 troops in its ranks on September 30, 2020.

Thus it wasn't the DC NG being made available for J6. They were brought in from across the nation.

Kash Patel, who was at DOD, has testified to these facts under oath to both the J6 committee and in the CO 14th ammendment case.

Forget all this for a moment and imagine if Trump actually did mobilize the NG...

He was being encouraged to do so when the Federal Court house in Portland was under nightly attack for months. Remember Pelosi's storm troopers BS?

He's either forgetting that there are numerous exceptions to the Posse Comitatus Act (PCA), or blatantly lying about it.  Both Title 32 and Title 10 provide for those exceptions in addition to state active duty being excluded.

He's also forgetting (or lying about) the mayor of DC or Capitol police as being required to request the assistance.  In DC, it's the POTUS that has this local authority.

There are 3 avenues for NG activation:

1.  state governors (or, in the case of DC, the POTUS) can activate them locally during a declared state of emergency;
2.  state governors (or, in the case of DC, the POTUS) can request the NG to be funded/supported federally under Title 32, pending POTUS/SECDEF approval and gubernatorial consent;
3.  NG units can be federalized under Title 10 in cases of war or national emergencies declared by either Congress, POTUS, or SECDEF.

NG units do not have domestic law enforcement powers under Title 10 unless the Insurrection Act is invoked, and presidential discretion is quite broad on this point.

Use of Militia and Armed Forces to Enforce Federal Authority.
Whenever the President considers that unlawful obstructions, assemblages, or rebellion make it impracticable to enforce the laws of the United States in any state or territory, he may call into Federal service such of the militia of any state. This is a statutory exception to the PCA.

Interference with State and Federal law.
The President, by using the militia or the armed forces, or both, or by any other means, shall take such measures as he considers necessary to suppress, in a state, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy.

Air and Army National Guard.
Air and Army National Guard can specifically be called into Federal service in case of invasion, rebellion, or inability to execute Federal law with active forces.

So, Trump could have used the first avenue unilaterally for the DC NG, then used Title 32 unilaterally to give them unlimited federal funding/support by approving his own request.  Or he could have used Title 10 by unilaterally declaring a national emergency, invoking the Insurrection Act, and using as many NG units from other states as he wished.

This idea that the other lesser officials noted in the tweet effectively blocked deployment of the NG is patently false.

If Patel lied, under oath, twice, then he'd certainly have been charged already by this corrupt DOJ.

Concern about clashes between Trump supporters and antifa doesn't qualify under any of the scenarios you cite. Again, if Trump called up the NG, on J3 before anything happened....well I think we all know how that narrative would play out.

Storm troopers, dictator, etc.. You know the drill.

Trump pre authorized calling up the NG. If Mayor Bowsers request for the NG wasn't required to deploy, then it's curious why she would specifically deny her ability to request the NG in writing.

Same with House and Senate sergeants at arms. It's in memos that they specifically denied NG help.

Additionally why hide the testimony that Trump approved the NG? If he could have simply done it all on his own, then testimony that he approved the NG and then didn't follow through on it would only help the J6 committee narrative.

Capitol police chief Steven Sund would also like to know why his numerous calls to approve the NG went unanswered....for 71 minutes on J6 as the Capitol was being overrun.
