Connor Williams with McGovern is probably the only combo I would prefer over the Edwards-McGovern situation. I do think they add a depth piece, maybe Brian Allen. Quote

We certainly don't need to pay 18m for safety. I trust McD can get the most out of a lesser signing and make the most of it. Quote

His pay will be worse than it was. He's now in age 30 season, so we'll see what kinda market there is. People are expecting him to drive the price down, and i wonder if its the opposite and this market drives his price down. Still a great player, i'd poke around to see what money he'd expect. I'd consider him an upgrade over hyde and poyer. Quote

I can see a vet coming in due to need and btw 30 is too old for Bills. That is nearly a risk rental for 3 years prefer to draft or find a great younger fit in FA who learn the McD system quickly. if that's possible. Would take some wizardry I suspect Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted March 7 Posted March 7 If we’re going after a top UFA it should be Chris Jones / Christian Wilkins / Leonard Williams / DJ Reader + we appear poised to sign Fatukasi Quote
Blank Stare Posted March 7 Posted March 7 I read this as Jeffrey Simmons at first glance. Would’ve been all in on him. 2 Quote
transplantbillsfan Posted March 7 Posted March 7 If we sign him, he wouldn't count against the compensatory pick formula since he was released. Quote
NoHuddleKelly12 Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Is it bad that I would hold it against him that the Fish put up a seventy-something burger on his defense? 🤔 1 Quote

Warriorspikes51 Posted March 7 Posted March 7 If the $ is reasonable, he’s 30. Play hasn’t declined. Most ints in NFL since 2016 with 30. Great guy off the field. Hunger to win reportedly as well 1 Quote
BillsFanForever19 Posted March 7 Posted March 7 (edited) Simmons will be 31 this year. Signing him would fly in the face of the "we need to get younger" mantra that was clearly directed towards the Safety position. We'd just be trading one expensive aging cast off for another.
