thenorthremembers Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Dont hate it. 29th in terms of average salary. Get a guy back who has already been in the system and can help a rookie learn the scheme. Low risk high reward. 2 2 Quote
Bookie Man Posted March 7 Posted March 7 I felt like he was improving as the season went on. Needs to play more controlled. Had some friendly fire hits. Quote
Aussie Joe Posted March 7 Posted March 7 They will still sign another FA safety and draft at least one more … 1 Quote
Warcodered Posted March 7 Posted March 7 He was starting to look for the ball instead of peoples heads towards the end of the season, could have something there. 1 3 Quote

You don't really know WHAT kind of money they're actually giving him, though. We have the absolute CEILING of the deal. That can be quite misleading. He’s a Heat Seeking missile and a good tackler. Not a fan and honestly surprised this is the direction we’re going at safety 1 Quote
MJS Posted March 7 Posted March 7 He'll be a lot better in Poyer's role. Plus, he seemed to get better later in the year. I have no issue with this. 2 1 Quote
Logic Posted March 7 Posted March 7 How many times does it need to be said that you should never, EVER take the first reported signing of a contract at face value? The devil is always, ALWAYS in the details. The first report of a signing or re-signing is always by the player's agent, and always stated in a way that makes it sound as favorable as possible for the player. Invariably, followup reports often show greater detail that make the deal seem a lot more fair and palatable. And yet, every year, we continue to go through the "first announcement sticker shock". Every year. 3 1 Quote
