BillsFanForever19 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 It was either White or Douglas. I said it all offseason. It doesn't make any sense to have 3 quality starting CB's for 2 roles. Especially when 1 of them is performing very well under a Day 3 Rookie Contract that is developing, 2 of them are high priced veterans, 1 has an out in their contract, and we have a myriad of starting holes elsewhere and not a lot of money. I originally thought it would be White. But after listening to Beane at the Combine, I thought it was going to be Douglas. But the fact remained, something had to give at CB for the sake of the rest of the roster. Sad to see him go. But as I said earlier - when you remove emotion from the equation, it's kind of a no brainer. Quote

Nitro Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Two major injuries and a big contract do not mix well. Fact of NFL life is to get cut. Sad to see him go. 1 Quote
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted March 6 Posted March 6 (edited) The Tre Davious White Goalie Academy is one of the greatest bits of all time I will never forget Tre dancing around during the snow game against the Colts. Edited March 6 by JÂy RÛßeÒ 4 1 1 Quote
sherpa Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Breaks my heart, but everyone saw it coming the second he launched his helmet after the injury. Still, a great pick and a great member of the Bills. 1 1 Quote

Matt_In_NH Posted March 6 Posted March 6 My instinct when he was pounding the turf against Miami was that he was that was his last play in Buffalo. Quote
Toyo321 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 It was only a matter of time. You know when it's time to move on and unfortunately Tre was one of the obvious cuts this upcoming season. 1 Quote

SinceThe70s Posted March 7 Posted March 7 I'm so disappointed that injuries took away such a great and fun Bill from us. I remember sharing a clip of some of Tre's on-field antics with a Jets fan and he thought it was awesome. Good times. Quote
BuffaloBillies Posted March 7 Posted March 7 My daughter (and I) loved the guy early years. He's 95% the reason my daughter became a huge Bills Fan (in Cincinnati). 2 non-contacts ruined him. A shame. But a guy like him will still do great things to inspire people throughout his life. Quote

skibum Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Oh, man. It really hurts to see it become a reality. Thank you so much, Tre, for all the great memories. You balled out for the Bills and were a huge part of putting Buffalo back on the NFL map. You were the best of teammates and we're all proud to call ourselves your fans. Best of luck to you in all your future endeavors; I raise my glass to you! 1 Quote
