Surprised in light of the Bates trade. O-Line had been playing well--- now two big holes. Have some in-house guys, but seems like a step back on a unit that had looked good.

I'm bummed that we couldn't keep the line together, since it's the best we've had yet.

But if McGovern can be effective at center, we should be solid.

I don't understand why people are upset.

Sure. I liked him. He was great when healthy but, this guy may be one concussion away from calling it a career. That, paired with the cap savings, this is not a surprise at all and makes a lot of sense

Wow! This is a shocking development!

Definitely did not have Connor McGovern moving to Center and David Edwards being re-signed and replacing him at Guard.

But here we are!

Although I brought this option up we could still see Morse return on a lower contract or someone else to player Center before the season starts.

Everything that has happened has been discussed. Nothing shocking yet.

I'm in favor of all of these moves so far (Morse I can go either way on) but I didn't expect all of this tbh.

Sentimental feelings aside, I'm pleasantly surprised.

this is concerning to me.

Everybody evaluates differently but Dallas repeatedly tried to make McGovern a more versatile player by giving him reps and time at center in the spring and camp.  They concluded he can not play center.

I feel like they just weakened the strength of the team.

Soft rebuild

He was definitely a player that was a likely release.

Holy $***! Did not expect this.

Beane is not being sentimental or emotional, but cold and calculating. If we want to win this attitude is required. I'm not necessarily agreeing with this specific move (and not arguing against it either) but the approach in general

Well said.

And wow at this release.
