Dablitzkrieg Posted March 6 Posted March 6 $7.5 mill saved with the release. Still, stings, but necessary. Such a great part of the turnaround 1 1 Quote

MJS Posted March 6 Posted March 6 (edited) Great player. I wish him the best. I remember when he first got here and I saw that he was going to be a starter with Hyde. I was concerned. He was a nobody. I thought it was a mistake. I was comfortable with Hyde given what he did in Green Bay. But he went and balled out year after year. Edited March 6 by MJS 1 1 Quote
Devilmann Posted March 6 Posted March 6 The safety room is gonna be pretty much 100% different. I hope getting rid of the one person that knows the defense doesn’t backfire. Quote

HappyDays Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Great news!! This tells me Beane understands the kind of offseason this needs to be. All that being said I will always appreciate what the Hyde/Poyer tandem meant to us and it sucks that it has to end so abruptly. 1 4 Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted March 6 Posted March 6 First, thank you man! Second, we gotta take this hit now to re-tool. We aren't all of a sudden going to not be competitive. "Running it back" needed to stop. 1 1 Quote
Sweats Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Hey, i love the guy but he's been missing a step the last couple of years......getting a little banged up and slowing down a bit. A tough decision overall, but tough choices have to be made. 1 Quote

Strangely, completely by coinincidence, I wsa in visiting Buffalo the day they signed him. Me and my nephew went into a card shop. He purchased an old pack of cards, and he pulled an autograph Poyer rookie card. We thought it was a good omen. He will be missed Edited March 6 by Buftex Quote

That's his salary or we actually save $7.5M in cap space this year? If it's cap savings then yes this has to be done. Quote
