I’m sure if he played with SD, he was an exemplary musician, but I was under the impression that SD roatated through numerous session musicians and there really wasn’t a band per se … at any rate, As a collector of 70s era hifi gear, Steely Dan recording are always among the finest recordings you will hear … RIP

They are, except for Katy Lied. Interesting read on why it sounds "muddy".
