Just in the last 12 hours people have wanted to trade away the starting LT and the all pro linebacker. Now let’s throw in the large amount of fans who for some reason also want to trade away the team’s top receiver, who still by the way is a top 10 receiver in the league. Could be that too, just saying I think it’s the Madden effect… Some crazy moves can be made to better your team. Quote

Should we Extend/Restructure or Trade? a few things: the Bills like Ryan VanDemark. Do they like him enough to see him as a starting OT? I would like to extend Dawkins while also drafting a T no later than Rd 5 1 Quote
Warcodered Posted March 5 Posted March 5 You don't lose you're starting LT unless you have a plan to have a starting LT, Dawkins was great last year, this is dumb and everyone was talking about the Chiefs having to play an away game in the Playoffs not just Dawkins and his remarks weren't *****. Really? Apparently his remarks were meaningful enough for Mahomes to go on his social media to troll Dion by quoting him after the game 1 Quote

I have to agree that the idea that Patrick Mahomes was inspired to play better against us than he would have already is kind of a silly idea. Patrick Mahomes was going to bring the same game to our doorstep no matter what anyone said. 1 1 Quote

The Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes specifically were going to bring the same level of play and commitment to excellence to us en route to the Super Bowl either way. 2 Quote

They’re a championship team so they were already motivated. But I do think they, and especially Mahomes, relish these little trash talks. Look at the Bengals burrowhead stuffs last year. They’re also smart about it. They don’t say anything but compliments to their opponents before the games. Then let their opponents know they heard all the chatter after they beat them. Some people on the Bills should take notes. 1 Quote
Thurman#1 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) Trade? Geez, no. Extend? Definitely could be if it makes financial sense. 4 hours ago, Warriorspikes51 said: Really? Going on social media - essentially to say "nyah nyah" - after the game has zero correlation to playing better because you're more motivated. I didn't like it either. But it is not important to the Chiefs performance. Edited March 5 by Thurman#1 Quote
machine gun kelly Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Yesterday some knucklehead wants to trade for Milano, our best defensive player, and now a question is of the best O Lineman we have who btw is a multi-year pro bowler. There is no way we would trade Dawkins. Just because you’re thought on the other guy who is a backup is to dump the best we have or is this just because he jaws at times. So does half the league. Im from a time it’s wasn’t done, but things change. I’ve accepted it. Quote
Bills!Win! Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Tomorrow’s topic will be “should we trade James Cook?” Quote

Doc Brown Posted March 5 Posted March 5 He's a reliable, rarely injured, and above average left tackle. Extend him as tackles don't grow on trees in today's NFL. I also wouldn't hesitate to at least gauge the temperature of what Spencer Brown is looking for in a future contract. Quote
Matt_In_NH Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Someone like Dawkins should have a price beane is willing to part with him for. Can you get a late first or second round pick you could replace him with on a cost controlled contract? Risky? Sure but at some point you cannot keep extending and doing salary to bonus conversions. I think it is highly unlikely but for the right price sure I’d do it. Quote

Do they like him enough to see him as a starting OT? how much $ would we save by trading Dion? what would his value be in a trade? I’d guess a 2nd Round pick. I’m annoyed by his antics of running his mouth. Mahomes was obviously told by a Chiefs staffer that Dion said “good luck” winning here. Mahomes won and posted “good luck” on IG. Dawkins has now continued his antics by trash talking the entire Jets DL who will likely be way too fired up when we face them. & to top it off, Dawkins got shoved into Josh at the worst possible time in the Divisional again on the other hand, the OL as a whole had their best season in a long time. So it does seem unlikely the starters wouldn’t all return I doubt were getting much in return for him and Ryan VanDemark is not a starting left tackle. Dion needs to shut his mouth an just play Quote

As much as Dawkins’ weight scares me I think an extension makes sense. Limit the guaranteed money to this season and next. That way we can get out if the weight becomes a real issue. Quote

It's not that. He is good, a great teammate and most importantly, Josh trusts his blindside with him there. That last part matters more than anything. Quote
Gregg Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Extend. He is a solid starting LT. Besides I want him here just for the Jets games since Dion "loves" them so much. Quote
