They’re using the transition tag which allows them only to match an offer him and his agent like. They don’t acquire anything if they choose not to. Very rarely used option for that reason alone. So, the acquiring team would have to negotiate a contract bigger than the tag value and work out a trade with KC. That's a tall order. Quote

Report is a 2nd at best for KC. Quote
