Let's Go Buffalo Posted March 3 Posted March 3 R.I.P. Mr. Mortensen. He was a class act, and will definitely be missed. Thoughts and Prayers for his entire family! 9 Quote
SydneyBillsFan Posted March 3 Posted March 3 There are some unlikeable mouthpieces on ESPN, but Mort was one of the good guys. It's a sad day. 10 6 1 Quote

He caught a lot of flack from Bills fans that he really didn't deserve for being honest, IMO. 5 2 Quote
GETTOTHE50 Posted March 3 Posted March 3 One of the best in sports media. Did not embellish his reporting which I appreciate 4 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted March 3 Posted March 3 One of the best and most likable to ever do it. Don't think I've ever heard a bad word about the man. Sports reporting aside, the world lost a good person. RIP Mort. 1 Quote
Beast Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Thank you for all you did for us fans, Mort. I loved listening to you. RIP. 3 Quote

Augie Posted March 3 Posted March 3 RIP For some reason I always found him to be more likable than most. He had struggled with his health for years, but when it comes to an end it’s still a shock. Prayers for the family to find peace. 3 1 Quote

jkeerie Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Throat cancer is what got my Dad. Rich Eisen announced Mortensen's passing as they were concluding their combine coverage. Daniel Jeremiah broke into tears talking about what he meant to him. He said they were texting each other throughout the day yesterday about draft prospects. He was a real pro until the end. RIP and thank you, Mr. Mortensen. 2 7 Quote
Shaw66 Posted March 3 Posted March 3 A lovely man. He showed his love of his work, and his courage, when he returned to the microphone after his initial treatments. So sorry for him and his family. 4 1 Quote
Charles Romes Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Was a favorite of JA, who regularly gave Mort breaking news when he had it. Quote
