Wrong.

Players can talk to whoever they wish. Nowhere did I see the KC GM engage Hardman in this discussion. If he did then you have an issue.

Hardman candidly admitted that, by that point, "I was so checked out, like, it was over with. I had already talked to (KC GM Brett) Veach and Pat (Mahomes), like, ‘Come get me.’" Two weeks later, he was traded back to KC.”

I guess I misunderstood this comment.

I will never begrudge an NFL HC or GM for earning the big bucks.   Assembling 80 +/- of these personalities and backgrounds and distilling them down to a cohesive 53 that plays at the world’s highest level as one team ….   man, that’s some Big Voodoo right there.

My job is part HC, part GM for high level team in sales and service.   It’s brutal, in my mind.   I manage half that number of people with significantly less diverse backgrounds and at a level that while high, isn’t NFL stand alone top of the world class.

In short, hats off to the people who create common ground among such uncommon people.

What are you even talking about. You were chosen and managed by Morpheus, given superhuman powers and even then barely managed to take down the Machines.

A GM talking to a player on another team is considering tampering. Now there's nothing in the rules that players can't reach out to other players but some Jets players supposedly felt Hardman was giving competitors info about the Jets playbook which is another error but of course that's on him not his team.

I wonder how rule would be applied if a relative worked in front office of a NFL.  I.e. If Ed McCaffrey has a position in Broncos front office and he was seen talking to his son Christian McCaffrey after a game.  There are a LOT of families in NFL.

The Jets are a garbage organization - and that’s a reflection of their owner. I don’t blame a player for sticking up for themselves if they are getting lied to and treated like crap. Good for him. I’ll remind everyone that the Jets used an old MRI to convince a player that he was healthy enough to play and would not further injure himself if he did. The more recent MRI showed that he was far more injured and that playing would put him at risk of further injury. Seriously, F the Jets.

I have never heard of this! If true (which I’m not doubting) that is awful and should be punished! Was there any fines or penalties for this?

I linked an article on it in another post, but I can’t find anything about how it was ever resolved. This happened under Gase. The Jets fined him for missing practices with the injury and then cut him after he elected to have surgery they did not approve. They claim that the wrong MRI they sent to their doctors was a mistake. His agent said that they were going to file grievances to have the fines refunded and his salary paid. I don’t see anything about how it got resolved though.
