corta765 Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Reid is the top active coach and has a real argument for #1. He has had two runs of long term success in two different markets which only Shula can match to that level. BB with Brady has the best run in one time, but the arguments that Brady propped him up a bit feel more valid given the last few years, his record without Brady being sub .500, and his overall pool of coaches not being very stellar. The best credit BB has outside of NE is actually SB25 with what he did and his time with Parcells in NY both times. 1 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted February 27 Posted February 27 (edited) Reid was in the top 10 all-time in HC wins before Mahomes was even drafted. Uncrowned GOAT. That Tampa/KC Super Bowl is a bummer, because the rings chase could be 6-4 right now but that goes both ways. Reid will retire with every record, except SB rings because the AFC is just too good for them to keep getting there enough times in the next 5-6 years. Mahomes will likely tie Brady or get close (IMO) but he has 15+ years left to do that. Reid has 5-6 probably. Edited February 27 by TheFunPolice Quote
GoBills808 Posted February 27 Posted February 27 six straight AFC championship games w Mahomes is impressive but I'd argue 4straight w Donovan McNabb is even moreso Quote
Success Posted March 2 Posted March 2 I'm still an Andy Reid fan. Not so much anything else KC-related. But man, do I love a sports story where someone turns the narrative about them on its head. Reid was that "can never win the big one" guy, and now he's regarded as the best in the game. Rightfully. Who knows. Maybe we'll get a narrative change one of these days. Quote
