Success Posted February 22 Posted February 22 That one punt he had for us preseason was insane. Probably the best punter you could have when you're pinned deep. Quote
TheyCallMeAndy Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Interesting, they already have a good punter. Quote
Jauronimo Posted February 22 Posted February 22 If the Chiefs bring in Beasley then they may as well rebrand as the KC Heroes because this guy is switching allegiances. Its going to be expensive replacing all my Bills gear with Heroes apparel but it will be worth it. 1 Quote
SCBills Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Comical. But hey.. certain members of our media and fanbase can give themselves a pat on the back for trying to destroy a young man and then helping our main rival save some money. 3 4 1 Quote
FilthyBeast Posted February 22 Posted February 22 This is no real surprise considering the Chiefs have a history of signing guys with red flags and baggage....which also proves that 'lockerroom culture' doesn't really matter when you have the right head coach, QB, etc. Obviously in Araiza's case he appears to be cleared of wrong doing and knowing the Bills luck he's going to be an all pro punter for the next decade in KC. 1 1 Quote
Roundybout Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Also wait don’t they have a pretty decent punter already? Quote
Brand J Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Our punter hasn’t been his best self in about a season and a half. I would’ve liked Araiza to have signed a futures contract, considering we did invest a draft pick in him. 3 3 1 Quote

Logic Posted February 22 Posted February 22 This is the thing that's gonna put them over the top. I wasn't worried about the Chiefs before, but NOW?! Look out. 1 2 1 Quote

The Chiefs are a bacon of hope in a sea of cowardess. 1 Quote
The Firebaugh Kid Posted February 22 Posted February 22 This feels like something I should be upset about, but I don't care that much. Sorta like when I forget the dumb bags at the grocery store. The paper ones are fine. Quote

So unless they are releasing him for salary issues this signing makes little sense Townsend is a free agent 2 Quote
Steptide Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Watch, kc will have this power house offense, defense and now special teams next season. I can't wait Quote
ngbills Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Probably paying him under $1M. Get a competent punter for half what the Bills are paying their guy. Money that can be spent elsewhere. Quote
HappyDays Posted February 22 Posted February 22 At least this won't have any effect on our playoff matchups. 2 Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Don't be mad or depressed that the Chiefs signed Araiza. When you see those 70-80 yard punts sailing through the air, take comfort knowing the Bills did the right thing kowtowing to the Twitter mob. 4 1 1 2 Quote
Doc Brown Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Not surprising now that the legal issues are behind him. Townsend's contract's up so maybe they don't want to pay to keep him. Quote
ALLinALLEN Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Because of course he is...FWIW the Bills would never have resigned him and everyone here clamoring for that was nuts. You think he would willingly sign with an organization that cut him/stunted his career before he was even proven innocent? No shot. 1 1 1 Quote

I had come to terms with the fact we wouldn’t be the ones who signed him after all the bs that went on… However, Kansas City?… because, of course it’s Kansas City.
