In the clutch he brought the team down into scoring position with monotonous repetition. Even in the losses he was repeatedly bringing the team down field.  Jets to force OT, jags twice to get within a score, bengals to get close, pats to take the lead, broncos to take the lead, eagles twice to take the lead, chiefs to set up the tying FG attempt.  Clutch QB play in all 7 losses down the stretch.

But in the NFL, QB is BY FAR the most important position, and that one player can make WORLDS of difference. See Tom Brady with the Bucaneers, for example.

Do you think they win the division without Allen at QB?

Last time I checked, football is a team sport.

These crazy Josh stats just reinforce my feelings on one thing that i harp on.  Lamar is a fruadulent MVP who was carried by his defense and special teams.  He won the MVP based on taking fewer chances and fewer mistakes since they were often ahead or set up with great field position (in large part thanks to the D).

If we didn’t have JA17 we’re drafting top 3 this year.

I don’t understand fans who blame Allen! Without him this team is garbage! Let’s get rid of the best quarterback this team has ever had! They must miss the year after year of craptastic football since Josh joined the team and turned them into winners!

Agree...McD has shown the ability to do more with less on D up until the postseason and then it never seems to matter how good they are, they always crap the bed against quality offenses.

Allen needs weapons so the games don't have to be so close in those situations.

Until the post season and the final 2 minutes of games

Josh was amazing most of the year in the clutch.  How awful was our defense in the clutch though?

Terrible the first half of the season, very good the 2nd...and then even though KC had their way with our MASH unit the D made a stop in the 4th to give us a chance.

Yes that is a good example of a great QB let down by a bad and aging roster in his final year with the Pats. So he went to the most loaded roster in the NFL and was immrdistely able to win another Super Bowl despite playing well below his own standard throughout the playoffs.

Sorry, what point did you think you were making?

You must have missed my post upthread here. His QB rating for that year WAS OVER 100, so yeah, he had a terrible year, and he had nothing to do with them winning the SB. 🙄😂

It was a weird season for Josh.

Many games where him and the offense were terrible for 90% of the game. But when we needed a score to take the lead at the end he always came through (giants, Broncos, patriots, chargers etc).

Hopefully with Brady as OC and better weapons they will find more consistency next season.

This with a single top receiver--and even he dropped off a cliff midseason.

Screw the defense. Give this man three top receivers, good protection, and a run game, and he will score 75 points a game.

Yeah I'm done discussing how great Josh is. We all know he's an elite superstar.  We also know he tries so hard to put this entire team on his back.

It's officially time to put the rest of his teammates and coaches on notice. They must step up their game. His defense is garbage in the playoffs. His offensive teammates couldn't catch a ball to save their lives. The coaching has been inconsistent since the Houston game. Josh is one of the highest rated playoff qbs in history.  When will his support system step?

Just stop. Did not even make it to the AFCCG. Stats like this mean squat. Just win, baby.

You need to follow your own advice.  We all want to see them win, but for you to continue to ignore that there were actually good things about this past season is tired and boring at this point

Taking this stat along with the rounds 1 thru 3 offensive weapons draft stat, and how our defense always fails in the post season since it’s inception, and the writing on the wall is now in huge block letters yelling at our GM to go offense in the first and third rounds of this up coming draft at minimum. It is long past the time to make the offense the priority for this team.  Just imagine this offense with Kincaid, Shakir, Diggs, and two additional high quality receivers…,

That's not what I said. Brady was the last thing they needed to push them over the hump but the team around him was already in place. What, you think he just chose Tampa Bay at random? My greatest fear is that someday Allen will do the same thing and get his first Super Bowl win for another team.

you can input those same parameters they used for QBs to get an idea
