Yeah the injuries are huge, but the lions paid him 6.5M spread over 2 years. I wouldn’t want to pay him that much

I am guessing that you may not be old enough to remember the movie "Being There" with Peter Sellers that came out in 1979. I presume that the poster was referring to the Chauncey Gardner character in that movie. The photo is from that movie.

I was disappointed when this guy changed his name.

 

Chauncey Gardner is the principal character in the Peter Sellers movie Being There.

He's coming off injury, but it was a pectoral muscle tear. He has some injury history, but he's played well when he's healthy. I'll take him but also won't mind signing 2 new Safeties from this free agent class and releasing Poyer. Chinn, Blackmon, Whitehead, Stone , McKinney and Gardner Johnson give me any pair of these 2 .

I figured that you probably were not aware of the movie. I was not suggesting that you should have been.

I think it's really funny that he goes by C.J. to avoid the Chance the gardner AKA Chauncey Gardner references.
