stevestojan Posted February 15 Posted February 15 The fact that stories like this barely raise an eyebrow anymore - much less actually shock anyone - is so sad. 1 1 1
K-9 Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Just now, That's No Moon said: One of the suspects was stopped by two random people today. Chased him down, tackled him, and held him until the cops got there. I’m not surprised. Despite what the prevailing level of cynicism in this country would have us believe, there are many decent people who would try to make a difference. 1 2

Hsker4life Posted February 15 Posted February 15 So is it looking like gang violence with innocent bystanders caught in the middle? Been busy at work all day haven’t had a chance to follow this much.

No civilian buys body armor to do something that isn’t bad. it should have been banned decade ago, and the gun lobby wouldnt even care. 1 1

stlbills13 Posted February 15 Posted February 15 I think politicians are finally going to act after this. I bet you'll see a law in the next few months that bans Super Bowl parades. 1 1

FBI SWAT and Homeland are rushing to that area. As for why this or understanding it - mental illness is not easily understood. Mental illness? Like pouring the thing used to do the killing out on the streets at a crazy record rate and then being surprised when mass shootings happen over and over and over and over and over and over and over……………………………………….etc?! That kinda mental illness? Where you absolutely refuse to admit reality is real because you want it not to be? And , yes, I am a gun owner but I also believe in back ground checks and licensing across the board. Anyone who is surprised by the epidemic of gun violence in this country is 😏 1 1 1

T&C Posted February 15 Posted February 15 The Chiefs released a memo saying that all players and coaches are safe. Kind of strikes me as the wrong memo to put out there at this time... 7
Buddy Hix Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Majority of Americans accept their gun culture. Nothing more needs to be said.
stevestojan Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Interestingly, the chiefsplanet thread on this topic is literally just people making jokes about this.

Remove suicide. The rate drops significantly. Take the amount of crime commited with legally obtained guns. You can break it down even further but it's an ugly wormhole to show all of the problems with the simple "gun culture" argument. 2 minutes ago, nedboy7 said: Arming every single person with guns.
