Success Posted February 12 Posted February 12 The only team I've seen win a championship is my alma mater, Syracuse. That was amazing. I like the Knicks & Bills, and only started liking the Yankees & getting into baseball over the past 5-6 years or so. Crazy. To put so much time into sports, over decades, for mostly heartbreak and disappointment. It's a weird thing, being a sports fan. Quote
buffblue Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Hope you're right, but the team that won the Super Bowl and beat us in the playoffs is 23 million under the cap. Meanwhile, we are 50 million over. Tough spot to start from 2 Quote

I’m a Knicks and Bills fan also… From the end of the 90s it was a rough ride for 20 years 😂 1 Quote

The Conference concept cannot possibly that foreign to you. The only chance the Bills have is if Mahomes gets injured. This is just dumb, Mahomes never wants to lose to Allen, whenever they play they're both ridiculous and yet he has in fact lost to him 3 times, the idea that it won't ever happen in the Playoffs is just absurd. The idea we should just blow it up and get someone else and it will just fix everything is such ridiculous wishful thinking. We've won our division 4 years in a row and been in position to go on a run multiple years. That's what you need to be in position to do each year, especially when you have a franchise QB, throwing that away is insane. Quote
Blank Stare Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Can we please just go all in on offense? Sure, defense should be serviceable, but the way to beat the chiefs is to score. 9ers played about as good as you could’ve hoped on D…until they didn’t. They brought knives to a gun fight kicking FGs. You beat the Chiefs by scoring TDs. Go all in on O Beane. 3 1 Quote

The Bills are going to lose Gabe Davis, may cap cut Mitch Morse, will probably try to restructure Diggs and Josh on offense. They'll also probably lose at least Hyde and maybe Poyer. D'aquan jones and Phillips at DT, Tre White at cb, and you think low level signings will fill these huge holes ? I wish I could join you in your Disneyland trip but reality is a B word. Book it Milley. Quote

nedboy7 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 We have a shot every year. That’s why you are watching some of the best years as a Bills fan. Try to enjoy it without that loser mentality. 2 1 1 Quote

You better believe it. 27 minutes ago, Beast said: You think we will be worse than we were with an absolutely depleted defense three weeks ago? I don’t. In fact, I think we will be much better. Beast, your optimistic yet wrong predictions are always appreciated and commendable. But this naive vision (routine) that we can get this done is getting old. Josh and his Superman act will get us to a point. But his coaches and teammates will always let him down. Besides now that Mahomes is officially anointed as the next Brady, he and his team will get all the advantages that goes with that. Quote

If we add talent to the right positions and hit on draft picks plus get a couple nice value FA signings, we’ll be in the mix for sure I really wanna believe this. But what have you seen that makes you think our coaching will be better? And because we're Buffalo are big swing was taken on a scumbag (Von) who broke down not long after getting here, our "nice value FA signings" are jokers like Harty and Sherfield. And once again we'll put garbage on the field at WR next year and we'll be so surprised that some 4th string Vikings or Jaguars wideout isn't the needle mover we needed. I do look forward, however, to seeing what undersized DT we take in the first round. Also it'll be nice to see what fourth round WR "steal" Beane finds in the draft who won't even make the active roster. Super excited for next season for sure! 1 Quote

It's very close to the Tampa 2 and has one of the lowest man coverage rates in the NFL. People can talk injuries all they want. This defense has a long history of playing like trash against high processing QB's. You saw today how many crucial stops it took from both teams to even get to OT. When have we ever got in a slugfest in the playoffs outside of the Baltimore wind divisional home game? Defense, the area our HC is supposed to be a specialist in is what fails us. We try to make it up on offense and sometimes perform well but it's not like Brady is some grizzled vet. Compared to some of these teams he might as well be a rookie. We are outclassed by a considerable margin and we don't have more talent. It's not complicated why we are stuck. Edited February 12 by Mikie2times 1 2 Quote

And he’s only lost to Mahomes and Burrow in January. Blame him for 13 seconds. Blame him for the Bengals game. He gets credit for 2023 and if not for dam near every player on D getting hurt and being hampered with Von we were right there as the 2 seed in a 3 point loss vs the SB champs. The great news is the Oline and running game looks revamped and ready for January. The bad news is we might need 2 safeties, 2 defensive ends, 2 DTs, and a WR. But the Chiefs replaced that whole 2021 defense on the fly. I expect this team to as well. 1 Quote

Mahomes and the Chiefs have been getting the Brady treatment for some time now. We were still in a position to knock them out with a depleted roster on D this year. Josh does need more WR talent that he can count on. That is the priority, but it is certainly not fated to be a failure. Quote

Well we did literally just bring in a DB coach who is better at man coverage. Our defense clamped down on the Steelers until it ***** died this season and they still fought it out at the end. Against the Chiefs with Kelce, Mahomes and Reid we were ***** with a massive hole in the middle of our defense. Quote
