As i’ve said before i think Josh Allen is the best football player in the league. But Mahomes is the best QB and it’s indisputable. Mahomes left a ton of meat on the bone in this one imo…missing reads, forcing throws under pressure, bailing the pocket way too early. Game would’ve been a blowout if he played as well in this one as your post is suggesting Edited February 12 by Generic_Bills_Fan Quote

However, comparing Allen to Big Ben is almost as disrespectful as those who tried comparing him to Cam earlier in his career. Most of us going at you, think Allen would be Mahomes on KC and Vice versa. Most of them will admit that Mahomes was the GOAT of the era in 20 years. They just don’t want to right now because it sucks for us. Quote
major Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Maybe it was me but I thought both offenses looked sloppy tonight. Play calling for both was questionable. At times I felt like I was watching a preseason game and not a Super Bowl. Both teams looked tired Quote
Jrb1979 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 My take away from these playoffs and Super Bowl is that KC plays to win for the most part. The 49ers played not to lose when they had the lead, on offense and defense. That KC defense knew when to dial it up when they needed a stop. KCs offense played for the TD in OT. Watching them you knew they weren't playing for the tie. Quote

Only one time in this game where I can remember him making a sort of off platform throw that was completed. You just can't win in the modern NFL without that ability and with a below average arm. And the 49ers OL is below average from the LG down so the Chiefs got Purdy off his spot more than a dozen times. Every time they did, they won the play. Tough to run an offense under those conditions, although I agree Shanahan should have leaned on McCaffrey more. As statistically amazing as the season that Purdy had was in so many ways..........it's easy to envision Shanahan having a new QB in a couple years. 2 Quote

We’re a dynasty, yes? 6 minutes ago, IronyAbounds said: It's mocking the MAGAts who were whining about Taylor Swift and Kelce and suggesting the Chiefs were going to win because of some conspiracy between the NFL and Biden. If people watch all the little things he does and does not do… including what you mentioned. He’s the absolute best. Allen is an excellent and fun football player to watch. He’s not the QB Mahomes is though. What did Mahomes do that made him the best? He played ok tonight. Threw a pick and had 1 touchdown gifted on a special teams blunder by the 49ers, and another easy pass on a wide open 3yrd play. He took sacks, made terrible throw aways, had 2 intentional grounding ( only 1 called). His defense and special teams carried his team tonight. 4 Quote

That’s letting him off the hook. If Mahomes is who he says he is… because he clearly believe he’s the GOAT while downplaying the situation he was drafted to.. (which is my issue with his posts) Clearly the Bills would be a dynasty if we took Mahomes, correct? I want him to answer that. Because I believe Josh would be leading a dynasty in KC rn. Does he believe the same about Mahomes in Buffalo? Edited February 12 by SCBills Quote
DapperCam Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Mahomes was incredibly meh tonight. His only TD in regulation was a gift given to him at the 11 yard line due to a special teams blunder. He had an ugly pick, and plenty of negative plays. He had like 2 passes further than 10 yards the entire game that were impressive. Quote

I don’t know if Mahomes turns the program around to the level Josh has. The difference of what Josh was asked to do I don’t know if Pat would have survived. I think we would end up with a Justin Herbert situation… Quality starter but never pushing the needle for the franchise. The situation you found was a guy who could sit and learn an offense system without being put into the spotlight and relied heavily upon from the get-go. Josh did. I mean he was sitting behind Saint Peterman for crying out loud and had to become the do it all with no adequate talent at the skill positions or run game. Quote

It was KC's 21st game of the season and the 20th game of the season for the Niners. It's such a long and grinding season and I think it shows by the time you get this far. I was cracking up at all of the posts I was reading on Twitter where people were saying how the Bills would've beat both teams. It's not like the Bills would have miraculously looked fresh as a daisy themselves if they made it this far. Quote

TheFunPolice Posted February 12 Posted February 12 The thing about comparing players midstream is that it's fun but you never know what happens. What if Allen and the Bills hit on some young playmakers this off-season, beat KC next playoffs and go on to win 3 Super Bowls in a row? Or our own 3 wins in 5 years? We've had a lot of bad luck but that will even out. Maybe not with multiple SB wins but you never know. Let's say Allen gets to 3 in 5 years but wins all 3, beating KC each year to get there. Conversation changes then. 1 Quote
