st pete gogolak Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Does this mean there will be a screen pass to a RB? I’ll believe it when I see it. 1 1 Quote

When researching Cook for his draft, and then after we drafted him, my hope has been that he be used like Kamara. Is he the same player? No, obviously not. But he has similar skills and should be utilized similarly. 1 Quote

Most guys with similar targets are in the 8 yards per range while Kamara was 6 yards per. Cook had the same yardage on 30 less receptions. Sounds like we are going to even more behind the LOS and really short passes... HE IS THE QB COACH NOT THE OC 1 2 1 Quote
2003Contenders Posted February 7 Posted February 7 I like that he has experience (both as a player and coach) with QBs as well as WRs. Obviously with Brady's promotion there is a void at the QB coach position, and the receivers haven't been the same since Chad Hall left. So maybe Curry can help solidify there. I am also all for bringing in a smart guy who can help with concepts for the passing game -- and hopefully work with Brady to devise schemes and routes that will allow our receivers to get open and get decent RAC numbers. 1 Quote

He the McDonald's High School Player of the Year. Played both basketball and football....he was an unreal athlete. We lived in Hampton at that time. My wife taught at rival Bethel High (Allen Iverson alma mater). Watched Ronald play football. Still can’t believe he didn’t become a superstar. Was absolutely incredible. I think he scored 8 tds in a game I watched. Was a man amongst boys at a pretty good level of competition. 3 Quote
henry jones Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Guess we have our new OC after week 6 next year! 😀😀 1 Quote
SoonerBillsFan Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Something to think about. Curry was part of Sean Paytons staff in 2017 & 18 correct? Last time I checked, didn't the offense that Brady ran at LSU have a lot of Paytons concepts? So we hired a QB coach that understands Paytons concepts, and can help Allen get up to speed quicker on them. 3 1 1 Quote
Chandler#81 Posted February 7 Posted February 7 These 3 are impressive additions, though Addae has something to prove. I’m glad we don’t have a salary cap on coaches and staff hires. McDermott as some experience with these guys including a W&M guy. Brandon ain’t sleeping 2 1 Quote

Curry's senior season in HS, he had 59 TD passes, 16 rushing TDs, and added a return TD. That's 76 TDs in 14 games. 1 Quote

Best case sceanrio: suddenly younger coaches in their 30s are getting HC jobs so if Bills have a great offensive season and Brady gets HC, Curry could become OC...if Josh approves... A few Cook drops definitely stick out! I meant more projecting Cook to the NFL before his rookie season, but… Last year, Kamara caught 75/86 (~87% and by far highest of his career which averages 79%) for 466 yards over 13 games played (~6 catches & 36 yards per game & 6.6 yards per target). Cook caught 44/54 (~82%) for 445 yards over 17 games played (~3 catches & 26 yards per game & 7.3 yards per target). I think they are pretty similar with a slight edge to Kamara last year. With both scheme and age probably favoring Cook next year, I bet that small gap closes. 1 1 Quote

I never thought he was a great QB, but I didn’t realize he was such a huge douche. I don’t think I’ve seen such a barely mediocre player who loved to show up teammates and coaches to the extent that that asshat does. Quote
