If there was any year where award should have gone to Non QB it was this year. However, not going to go crazy with the result. I would have given it to McCaffrey. However, Josh’s numbers at the end of the year probably had a lot to do with it. Numbers weren’t eye popping. I think if Josh had cut down on half of the turnovers and we didn’t have some of the losses we had to the bottom feeders. Josh would have easily taken award.

Allen was 5-1 against playoff teams.

Lamar was 6-3.

Lamar didn’t play against the Steelers in the final regular season game, so he was 6-2. But check this out…

Ravens 25 Texans 9

Ravens 28 Browns 3

Ravens 38 Lions 6

Ravens 33 49ers 19

Ravens 56 Dolphins 19

Optics matter. Of their 13 regular seasons wins, 9 were by double digits. Of the eight teams in NFL history that had 9 wins by double digits or more, all had made the Super Bowl and only one of those didn’t win.

The Lamar led Ravens bludgeoned teams and that’s why he’s MVP of the regular season, because he played phenomenal at times. It wasn’t because “let’s give the award to him because he’s Black.” I’m surprised so many of you agreed with that take.

CMC should have won. That being said, Josh should have won if a QB had to win it. Either way, the only votes I agreed on all night were CJ Stroud getting OROY and Tom Grossi winning Fan of the Year.

Who was the ravens mvp if not lamar? A MLB or a S?

Their defense. That's what kept them in games for the first 3/4 of the season. Lamar didn't do anything until December. He wasn't even in the MVP conversation until the 49ers lost to the Ravens and Purdy lost the MVP. Then all of a sudden everyone was saying how good Lamar was.

I'm not mad about the MVP at all, honestly don't care but I agree.  He's not liked.  As someone said before it comes down to two reasons, they were wrong about him in their previous expectations of him and his race (and or his quoting racist things that were just him being a kid joking around with a friend).

I disagree actually. I think he’s generally well liked.

But the general attitude toward the Bills is that they are good and sometimes great, but destined to choke. I think we’re viewed as a good team now, but in the end we’re still losers.

Josh is living under Mahomes shadow. It’s going to be this way until the Bills win a Super Bowl. Why would the media spend time liking Josh when then could be giving that attention to other people and teams who don’t have legendary choke jobs and honestly a kind of cursed vibe attached to them.

Those are obviously not my feelings toward Josh and the team, but I do believe it’s how a lot of other people view him and the team. It doesn’t matter how many incredible moments he has because in the end they come up short and it’s pointless and painful.

Onto next year...

It really is a joke Lamar won it this year. Bills fan and Josh Allen homer aside... McCaffery really should have won it.

Do even any of the most negative Nancy or (as they'd call themselves) "objective" and "realistic" posters on this board think Lamar Jackson was more valuable to his team this year or just flat out had a better year?

Plus... anyone notice no one EVER talks about how many fumbles he loses... it's a lot.

Allen’s 5-1 record against playoff teams came with average margin of victory of 13 points.

There is no way around it. Lamar was no more the MVP than Allen.

So LJ now has 1 playoff win and 2 MVP’s?

Now now, he has 2 playoff wins. Sooo, twice as good... MVP should include playoffs honestly.

It doesn't matter... everyone (except Nick Wright) knows Allen is the better QB.

I didn’t say Lamar was more deserving of the MVP than Josh Allen, I said the award wasn’t given to Lamar simply because he was Black like you all believed and then pointed out the reasons for why he won.

The Bills were “the best team in the NFL” for about one week, after they beat the Dolphins early in the year. The Ravens were by far the most consistent and dominate and beat the crap out of top contenders. That’s really not debatable.

bull#### Damar didn’t win comeback player of the year. Robbing Josh and now this. Dude literally died on the field. You can’t come back from any more than that.

Damar was closer to the Victor Allotey award than comeback player of the year.

The way to win the MVP:

Be the one seed

Have great stats

Have a great offense

That's it.
