mrags Posted March 25 Posted March 25 I had to give up a 1st and 5th next year. But I couldn’t be happier. For whatever reason he began to fall so I jumped on it. Started the attempt to try and trade up once he made it to 11. Offered every team something from 11 to 17. 17. Malik Nabers WR LSU 54. T'Vondre Sweat DT Texas 114. Maason Smith DT LSU 128. Kitan Oladapo S Oregon State 133. Cedric Johnson EDGE Ole Miss 144. Javon Baker WR UCF 163. Nehemiah Pritchett CB Auburn 189. Isaac Guerendo RB Louisville 200. Sundiata Anderson EDGE Grambling State 204. Anim Dankwah OT Howard 248. Nelson Ceaser EDGE Houston 1 2 Quote

I think it would take the offense to a whole new level. I think we'd have to give 2025 1st & 2nd along with pick 60 in order for a team to actually do that. Or, maybe Diggs instead of the 2025 2nd Quote

Richard Noggin Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Moved back a bit, then up a bunch. Think the top 5 picks would all be immediate contributors, and the bottom five would all be solid depth at worst. The 3 WR picks was NOT intentional, or even smart, but eff it we ball. 1 Quote
Richard Noggin Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Forgive a second consecutive mock, and I don't want to overstate things, but...this no-movement, BPA-ish draft gives me hope for the future I think. The first two picks are the kinds of dudes who could make a difference if all goes well. The next four picks could all become starters sooner or later. Carlies has S/LB/Big Nickel position flex. The UW EDGE prospect should be in the NFL probably, and those last three picks are good bets on traits and tape and all have a puncher's chance to make the roster. 1 Quote
Yantha Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Yes, I'd pick Wiggins at 28 if he slipped and the best WRs are off the board like they were in this mock. Good value. 1 Quote

Does that A- for Polk mean that you scrolled down past a handful of available prospects specifically to select a WR, and/or that PFF saw a better need-based value on the board? It's about adding the best/most NFL talent possible with every pick in every year. But of course not every pick, every year will make the roster, thus...position can and should occasionally boost a prospect based on need. In this mock-case, you're using a 1st round pick to add a CB to a position of strength--I think Benford, Douglas, Elam, Lewis, Johnson is a decent room already. Then again, if Wiggins is legit (I have NO idea), can't really be a bad move to bring him in. I'd prefer a DL or WR prospect there, but who knows how it specifically shook out. 1 Quote
Richard Noggin Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Trading back early, and then back up later, is what I'm doing these days just to feel something. The results here are 2017 Saints-like, innit @GunnerBill? 2 1 Quote

ScorpionZero Posted March 26 Posted March 26 (edited) I was thinking we could grab a running back up as a PFA. then next year look to grab either Phil Mafah or Raheim Sanders. Edited March 26 by ScorpionZero 1 1 Quote
