Dr. Who Posted March 21 Posted March 21 (edited) 9 hours ago, Yantha said: This is a mock where in an imperfect world (such as it is), Addonai Mitchell and the usual WRs we want are off the board. And no trade up possibility.... 28 Byron Murphy DL | Texas Young stability on a DL that needs a boost in production. Collapse the pocket, stop the run. 60 Junior Colson LB | Michigan Cover linebacker that can take TE's out of the game. 128 Johnny Wilson WR | Florida State Some like him, some don't but I'm in the "like" column. I like our offseason FA additions and see an improvement in our WR room already. Wilson could be better than advertised, and is a CLEAR target for the red zone at his height. Put it up there... 133 Caelen Carson CB | Wake Forest Wished I had a good safety pick by now, but Carson is excellent value here, and could see the field. 144 Roger Rosengarten OT | Washington Another value pick, solid player. 160 Dadrion Taylor-Demerson S | Texas Tech Surprised to see Taylor-D here so it was a no brainer for me. He adds depth with upside at safety. Starting potential with time. 163 Ray Davis RB | Kentucky 5'10", 216lbs. Love his "pop". Nice replacement for the older guys we used to have in that role. 189 Ainias Smith WR | Texas A&M Tweener, gadgety kind of player that is a bit of a RB/WR prospect. Interesting player. I'll have to look into his KR/PR ability. 200 Ty'Ron Hopper LB | Missouri Excellent prospect on a solid team. Love what he brought to Missouri. Should be immediate impactful player on special teams, should he make the roster (or land on PS I guess... They can't ALL land on the 53. TOO MANY PICKS!) 204 Layden Robinson IOL | Texas A&M There will be some competition at OC. Robinson can try. 248 Braiden McGregor EDGE | Michigan Michigan pass rusher.... I mean at 248, why not give it a shot and develop this guy. We NEED some youth at EDGE. You felt compelled to pass on WR in the first, then took a LB in the second, and chose Wilson as your top WR? (He's a bust waiting to happen.) You take 2 LBs? Sorry, you're fired. Edited March 21 by Dr. Who Quote

It shows a little bit of athleticism, but doesn't mean a thing compared to things like hand usage, strength, and technique. 1 Quote

I didn't like the WRs that fell in that draft during round 2 and went with a value pick at a position I think we need. I'm not excited about Terrel Bernard as a long term guy. The second linebacker was way down the line as a late rounder for depth/special teams. Not a fan of "bust waiting to happen" statements. The same can be said for every single player in the draft. We just don't know. Quote

A few players would have changed the strategy at this spot if they hadn’t already come off the board in the draft. LSU receiver Brian Thomas Jr., Texas receiver Adonai Mitchell, Iowa defensive back Cooper DeJean, or even Texas defensive tackle Byron Murphy would have been the pick at 28. But all four players were gone. ROUND 2 Pick no. 36: Bills select T’Vondre Sweat, DT Texas The Bills have their three-technique pass rusher, Ed Oliver, on a long-term deal. So, with the first pick in the 2024 draft, Beane goes after a space-eating run stuffer who showed off down in Mobile, Ala., at this year’s Senior Bowl. Sweat may not get out of the first round. Starting to hear this more everyday. Quote

We just don't know. Everyone is free to have fun with mock drafts, but if one posts them on a public message board, presumably one is inviting comment. As I strongly disagreed with your particular draft, I felt sufficient umbrage to comment. Naturally, it's all just opinion. Mine is that in a strong WR draft, you made a complete botch of it, and I would not use a second round pick on LB. I don't know why you are down on Bernard. However, if I was going to pick a second round LB, it would be Payton Wilson or no one. Fortunately, from my perspective, there's virtually no chance the draft will play out anywhere close to the scenario you have painted. 1 Quote

Idk if they're all just waiting on more consensus opinion for a bigger update as we get closer. But the rankings on all of them are really off. Like the one I did last. Javon Baker isn't sniffing the end of Round 4. Gabe Hall in Round 6 is even more ridiculous. Things like that are rampant across the sims. The trades are even more ridiculous. Some of these are like offering up their entire Draft to move up a couple spots and take your pick. At this point, I find them to be like an entertaining video game. Fun to play, but absolutely not reality. 1 Quote

Because certain positions are gonna be hit hard in the first, your gonna see really good players fall to the second, and because of that other positions get hit hard, then you get second rounder in the third and so on. So it's not completely improbable to see some people that we say no way, falling. Just my thought on it. Quote

RyanC883 Posted March 22 Posted March 22 today's PFF draft. My fav yet. 2 impact DTs. A potential WR1. Potential new C. Potential great backup QB who could be flipped for picks. Good backup slot, good secondary and edge depth. Bruiser RB. 2 Quote

The 3 RB's we know that they met with at the Combine are Audric Estime, Braelon Allen, and Frank Gore Jr. Estime and Allen will go higher than Issac. Gore is probably a UDFA. Allen is my guy. If I can get him in Mocks after WR or DT, I take him. Probably a little too rich for our blood IRL. But my hope is that RB's fall in general and that maybe he falls a little more than expected for not running a 40 at the Combine or his Pro Day. Edited March 23 by BillsFanForever19 1 1 Quote
