HappyDays Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Day 1 of practices just concluded. So far the biggest winners I've seen brought up a lot are WR Ricky Pearsall, DE Marshall Kneeland, and C Jackson Powers-Johnson. 2 1 14 Quote
GunnerBill Posted January 30 Posted January 30 I like the Washington OT as a late round pick for the Bills. Very sound technically. 4 Quote
The Jokeman Posted January 30 Posted January 30 If Booker lives up to his 6'6" measurement he could be on our short list for day 3 as we seem to like guys with length although he might need to gain some weight to give him the flexibility to play inside/outside for us. At the very least could be a 3rd down specialist as a rookie and maybe an eventual successor to Von Miller. Quote
Cash Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Thanks for posting! Some of these reporters need to be willing to be boring. No one is "A PROBLEM" at a Senior Bowl practice. And if a guy's 1-day practice performance is "making me feel things", it's time for some serious self-reflection. 2 6 Quote
Aussie Joe Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Just remember that Boogie Basham won a lot of 1 v 1 at the Senior Bowl …😂 Actually … that’s not true … he was very ordinary 1 Quote

Those 1v1 drills are handmade for them to show off their skill set. Pearsall and McConkey would fit into that bucket. 1 Quote
boyst Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Id not mind a bully at center but I don't trust anyone with a hyphenated name. 7 Quote

HappyDays Posted January 30 Author Posted January 30 WR Xavier Legette apparently struggled today. Although I saw a couple other people saying none of his vertical routes were catchable, so 🤷♂️ Quote

They are going off of a couple out routes (one caught, one not) and some 1v1 long ball drills where the ball placement was potentially not ideal. If it stays this way then you pass on him rd 1, but maybe he's still there rd 2 or 3. 2 Quote
Logic Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Does my heart so much good to see Senior Bowl drills happening on the timeline. It's the first major salve on the "didn't win a Lombardi and now the season's over" wound for the year. It's the official turning of the page from "season in review" to "offseason/FA/draft time", which has always been a time of year that I've enjoyed immensely. Spilt milk cried over. OC hired. DC hired. Now let's go build this roster. 8 2 1 Quote
Gigs Posted January 30 Posted January 30 I'm a Gators fan: DO NOT SLEEP ON RICKY PEARSALL! Dude made arguably the greatest catch of all time. Hands? Dude has them..2, in fact. The Gators just haven't been very good since The Shoe at LSU. He's 7-11 incarnate. We already have Elam, Torrence and Shorter, so let's bring in another Gator! If he were there with Trask he would've shown a lot more and he'd be a late 1st rounder. He's a steal Quote
eball Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Up and down first practice for WR Devontez Walker, but he had the fastest field speed so far at 21.18 mph. — Dane Brugler (@dpbrugler) January 30, 2024 That's what I'm talking about. Tez can fly. 1 1 1 Quote
msw2112 Posted January 30 Posted January 30 For those of us who have promoted Roman Wilson on this board, good to see him having a good first day. 2 Quote

No thank you. I see AJ Brown potential... You could turn out right though. Your reasoning is why WR's like DK and AJ lasted til the 2nd round. In a re-draft, both would be rd 1 picks. With that said, I love other guys too like Franklin, Tez Walker, and Mitchell 1 Quote
Eastport bills Posted January 30 Posted January 30 To me, it’s receiver, safety then DT depth. 1 Quote
